Handball against Roberts.
It's hard to tell where the ball hit Roberts, he turned his back and there's a chance it hit the back of his arm, albeit it looked like it either hit his back or the arm above the sleeve line, certainly that's what Roberts appeared to be telling the ref.
Of course it was absolutely not deliberate but unfortunately the handball rule now is, in my opinion, a complete farce so regardless of intent or impact, if it touches a person's arm and leads to a goal the goal is disallowed.
So the only question is, where did it hit Roberts? If I'm a ref in that instance where it doesn't appear to be clear I wouldn't disallow an otherwise perfectly good goal.

Interesting they just looked at the handball incident for the disallowed West Ham goal on MoTD and seemed to suggest that because it wasn't the player who scored that handballed it, it had to be intentional/deliberate for it to be disallowed (which they did seem it to be).
So I've no idea, that would make the decision to disallow this goal even more harsh, as I can't see how Roberts' contact can be seen as intentional or in an unnatural position.

Watching it back, I think the fact that the Orient defender puts his hand up to appeal straight away probably sways the ref. If he doesn?t appeal, I think the goal is probably given.
Hopefully a week off and we can re charge and go again.

They have lost 9 out of 10, and 16 out of 20, they are dogshit.
Evans will have us in full siege mentality mode. Everybody is against us, use what happened at FT on Saturday as extra motivation, chance for players to prove themselves in the absence of Pidge and Reid (but with a full week of prep rather than the awful prep for Saturday gone), and knowing a win puts us back on as no rivals are playing.

You just know that up the other end he would have just awarded a goal for Orient. But you cant prove that. Nor could you prove that, should Orient have been chasing the game they would have added on correct time, not just the 3 mins. All of that we all have to accept.
However lack of added time yesterday, whichever way you look at it, is a new level of cheating in plain sight by ref/official. Just watching the game back between half time and their first sub you can be adding on over 2 mins just in 20 mins of play. Add 4 subs etc after that then your nearer the 8 minutes that the Port Vale's of the world get.
Just enough time for an undeserved shoulder ball penalty, but then we wouldn't be getting that either.

The funny thing with the added time, the start of the season, or was it last season, they were adding on time every time the ball went out of play. 12 minutes wasn't unusual. As always with referees is the incredible lack of consistency that frustrates everyone.

Add the time their keeper was taking for releasing the ball, going unpunished the whole game.
Taye is always doing it, and he rightly gets booked for seeing down the clock. The Orient keeper was bullet proof.

So in a month that's a hand ball at Derby we didn't get a penalty for.
A hand ball at Peterborough we didn't get a penalty for.
Now we've been shafted with the worst refereeing performance i've seen in a long long time to disallow a perfectly good goal from Reidy.
Plus, the penalty for Port Vale against us too which was exactly the same as the hand ball decision we didn't get at Portsmouth back in Jan.
Evans is right, there's clearly an agenda.

Somewhat surprised that you think that those that criticise Steve Evans are uneducated when his antics are free to see in Wikipedia. Not sure how you can condone Steve Evans previous behaviour and then choose to call Wellens odious for raising an imaginary trophy, hardly comparable. Wellens and Evans are both managers with passion that sometimes gets them into trouble, I'm sure most fans want mangers to be passionate just as we are as fans.

I didn't even know he had raised an imaginary trophy (when I posted). But didn't surprise as it's the sort of person he is.
My opinion of him has formed over a number of years from listening to him.
If you listen to an Evans interview that isn't right after a game you'll get to know the man rather than the caricature he shows during games and immediately after a match when he boils over.
Whereas when I listen to anything Wellens says alarm bells ring that this isn't the sort of person I'd want to know. If you like him fair enough, but he's not the type of person I'd ever say "oh that surprises me, he didn't seem the sort". ?
Bit like when John Yems got done, no one was surprised as he was a massive tool.

Re: Richie Wellens

Yeah, sure ????
check out his antics while manager of Boston Utd as well as multiple incidents of him using foul and abusive language towards match officials and other people from opposing clubs staff, Evans left Crawley on 9 April 2012 to be appointed manager of fellow League Two club Rotherham United on a three-year contract. In September 2012, Evans was given a six-match stadium ban and fined £3,000 by the Football Association after being found guilty of "using abusive and insulting words and behaviour" towards a female member of Bradford City's staff, an incident which occurred during his time at Crawley.
After resigning as Stamford manager he was appointed manager of Boston United in October 1998. He managed Boston to promotion from the Southern Football League to the Football Conference in 2000 and subsequently to the Football League in 2002. Both promotions have since been overshadowed by revelations of off-the-field cheating.
Evans was suspended by Boston as manager on 4 July 2002 after a much-publicised Football Association (The FA) investigation into "contract irregularities". He later resigned as manager of the club in September 2002, after still being suspended by the club. He was found guilty by The FA in December 2002 of impeding an FA inquiry into contract irregularities. Evans was also suspended from the game for 20 months in January 2003 for involvement of the affairs of Boston, in which players' contracts lodged with the FA contained false salary details. Evans was further accused of impeding the inquiry and fined £8,000. Evans lodged an appeal against charges in May 2003, but The FA rejected his appeal later that month and the punishment stood. Evans later pleaded guilty in court to conspiring to cheat the public revenue, and was given a 12-month prison sentence, suspended for two years.
An announcement was made on 20 February 2004 that Evans would return as Boston's manager on 2 March. In September 2005, Evans and four other people connected with Boston appeared in court, denying fraud charges. In November 2005, Evans was given a £1,000 fine, suspended for a year, after admitting to using insulting or abusive words to the match official in a match against Peterborough United in October 2005. On 11 February 2006, he was escorted from Grimsby Town's stadium Blundell Park by Humberside Police at half-time, after he berated the fourth official after being incensed when Grimsby goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall appeared to handle the ball outside his area and was immediately spoken to by a police officer after a complaint of alleged foul and abusive language. After the match Boston chairman Jon Sotnick accused the football authorities of waging a "conspiracy" against his manager. In October 2006, Evans was linked with the vacant Darlington managerial vacancy, but Boston chairman James Rodwell and Evans both denied the link. Also in October, Evans was sent from the dugout after an altercation with Wycombe Wanderers player Tommy Doherty for which he later received a £1,000 suspended fine from the FA. Despite this, which came on top of his conviction for tax evasion, Evans kept his manager's position at Boston, a decision that angered the Boston United Supporters' Trust.

It?s like when opposition fans get rattled when Steve does fist pumps. Don?t stoop.
