Presume then we now know Revs decided on this and at this stage not to transfer list any under contracts If so what is he in discussions with Hemmings and Macca about , assume they must have been offered so sort of contract but perhaps only short term, if not why not release them .Personally think they should both go

"What is he in discussions with Hemmings and Macca about?"
New contracts, as the article says.
We cannot release them as they are not under contract, but we are interested in keeping them, hence discussing new contracts. It is very simple.
I would keep Hemmings. Only Reid scored more than him last season. And he offers good hold up play too.

He can only really play a certain way. If we are going to try and stick with a high press high energy game we need more mobility than Hemmings offers and I get the feeling it'll be List starting with Roberts up top.
If Banfield is gonna try and play the ball a bit more through the thirds, it still doesn't rely suit him.
If we are gonna lump it to a big man and play off him however... we should play Pressley

List yes, Roberts no. But he has to have a better season than last. Per Pidge at the Captain’s dinner Roberts is the best player at the club. I trust his judgement.

You can be as good as you like, but if you are anonymous for 90% of games I don't want you.
Edit: I will add with Roberts, what I mean is I hope somebody buys him.

I'm assuming Reid is going.
I concur with you on List but maybe he can be rejuvenated under Alex (doubt it).
We'd get good money for Roberts though and he's not been good for ages.
No confidence in Hemmings.
So we build around Pressley?
Or we build a new attack. Which costs a lot at this level if you want quality and experience.
We also need more goals from the no. 6/8 CM positions and with JFC crocked we probably need to spend decent money.

Nah, being positive we should be able to retain a decent defensive half of the squad.
Be hard to beat and we're halfway to a top half finish
Lots of 0-0s and 12 wins would probably see us comfortably survive.

I'd be happy to retain both for a year, especially Hemmings.
It wouldn't shock me if Macca went to Rotherham has a player-coach.

We need to get one certain type of player

One with a big boot to give those retained a huge kick up the arse!

Great to see we're keeping the bulk of the squad. Definitely need some more firepower up front and I can see a few retained players being sold but very happy with this list.
First time in a few seasons we won't be bringing in virtually a whole new squad.

I’m not sure it means we are keeping the bulk of the squad, more that we don’t have a manager so we’ve retained everyone under contract until we find a manager and he decides who he wants to keep/release

Overheard Revs on the phone last night at the bus station talking to Gareth Ainsworth about the squad so could be a double team.

Yeah that's what I thought, surely any new manager would want to decide if he wants to transfer list any plus of course some might go anyway if offers made
PS List, sure he was under contract to June 24 with a 1 yr option Not sure of terms but if club triggered we are now "stuck" with him .Can't see he played enough games to trigger himself if part of terms .Glad we have kept most of the lads, they need loans to higher clubs next season

It's not June yet though, so unless we've made a decision otherwise, a new manager could come in and get rid.

Option makes sense if the bonus’ and wages don’t outweigh what we think we can get for him in the summer or if the club think they can get a tune out of the lad. Although I feel he will be off before the end of August

Presumably we had an option in those contracts, and we'll wait to see who the new manager actually wants / who we can make some profit on?
Good news that our core players are signed up for another year though.
