Captains’ dinner
Views: 1497
Anyone else going tomorrow night for captains’ dinner in the Broadhall Suite with Ronnie Henry, Mark Robert’s and Carl Piergiani! Looking forward to it. Have dusted off my red velvet lounge suit and favourite cravat for the evening

Hates Oldham! All three skippers were asked what club they disliked the most. Ronnie said Arsenal, Robbo said Man City as he grew up a United fan and Pidge said Oldham which was quite surprising. Wonder what happened (apart from relegation)?

Being the grandson of a Spurs legend wouldn't expect anything else.
Ronnie is a Spurs fan.
Robbo is a Man United fan.
Pidge is maybe a Bury/Rochdale fan 🤣

Why would he be a Bury or Rochdale fan when he and his family are from Peterborough?
He probably hates Cambridge as well as Oldham. Good lad.

It was a joke, in following the pattern of the other two who picked the teams who are rivals with the teams they support.

I'd assume it's the way the Oldham fans proper went for him when it was announced he'd signed for us.

Probably the ownership more than the club I’d presume.
Was a great evening. Three top players and top blokes. Hopefully there are similar events held in future.

Agreed it was a good evening. Interesting that Pidge also singled out Roberts as the best player for his ability on and off the pitch.

Yes, excellent evening all round, you could tell Mark Roberts was used to public speaking.

Now now. It's not that sort of Captain's Table old boy. You're not at the Lodge now. Behave yourself!

Should be a good evening.
