Does signing a new contract 62 days ago mean absolutely nothing !!!

Why bother if your just going to walk away at the drop of a hat ?

Stevenage FC have confirmed that a new improved contract, which runs until June 2026, has been agreed with Manager Steve Evans?

Chairman Phil Wallace said, ?This isn?t about the results of the last few games ? or even this season. The results since Steve joined us in March 2022 speak for themselves.

?We?ve moved from being a League Two struggler to a League One side challenging for promotion to the Championship.

I said years ago that club needed a manager that knows the leagues and the players and and can attract the right players too
All this poncing about with ex players etc don?t work !! Let?s hope Wallace has learnt his lesson and goes for a other quality manager and not stick to the cheap option Revs is taken charge last two games for this clubs sake please don?t make him full time again it would take us backwards again !!

I would have thought the deal was done to add a zero to his release clause, and that not a lot else changed.

the lack of loyalty in football works both ways, you should know that the amount of mangers Leeds go through

He was going to go the last time they sacked their manager. But Wallet reminded him of Danny Rose last year when he wanted to go in January and Evans told him to stay and he would make sure he got his move at the end of the season.

Surely Boycie you not naive enough not to know the improve contract is all about improved compensation and has nothing to do with securing services for longer.

This isn?t a new practice and is considered good business
