Match streaming next season

Moving from iFollow to Sky Sports.
Sky will have a dedicated streaming platform to replace iFollow match streams.
"All opening, final day, and midweek fixtures in the sky bet EFL will be shown live, as will all games played on bank holidays including Easter, Boxing Day, New Years Day alongside the matches played in Sky Bet League One and League atwo during international Breaks".
Sky and the EFL also state that there will be a greater notice period given for matches being moved for TV coverage, and there will be greater parity in the number of times clubs are selected for coverage (except Leeds, who will still be on TV every week).
The 3pm black out will remain.
Audio streams will remain in IFollow.
There will be a minimum of 8 cameras for games broadcast on TV, while streamed games will have four cameras in the Championship and League One, and two in League Two.

Only just twigged next season 5 games each weekend from Lg 1 and 2, will be shown live weekend so we some games moved for earlier or later Sat kick offs or to Fri nights Or Sun .
Not clear how the mix between leagues will work so seems possible they could select all Lg 1 games somewhere weeks.

I use iFollow for audio, as I'm 10-ish miles away from Stevenage and can't pick up 95.5FM, so that sounds like it will be the same.
I hope I can watch our midweek, bank holiday etc. games via NOW tv, which is how I watch Sky Sports at the moment.

Didn't we already know this from last year?
Anyway, some figures in terms of numbers of games being shown in the link below:

Sky could save money paying for the 3CR commentary rather than pay someone to commentate on the stream, probably remotely which means I could just do it myself.
On the other hand multi-camera would be a huge step up and would allow me to see things like an offside that is more than 20 yards from where the ball was last played.

I am assuming it will be red button stuff for Sky Sports subscribers in the UK.
Which means unless I get a VPN I won't be able to watch any as Sky will recognise I am overseas if I connect my Sky HD box to the Interweb. ?

They will have a proper streaming platform for non-subscribers. I would be stunned if subscribers get the streaming matches for free. That'd be a huge loss of revenue for Sky.

They already do virtually the same for the Championship which is within the subscription fee, so I can't see them doing much different for adding League 1 and 2 to it?
Championship fans will be up in arms if they don't get all the midweek and bank holiday etc games still within their package

Yeah maybe you're right. Hope so.
Can't see them just throwing all that investment into extra cameras and trucks and infrastructure and giving it away to existing subscribers for free given the very low viewing numbers for most L2/L1 clubs, but some clubs won't even hit triple figures for many games. So it won't earn much.
So how they gonna monetise?
Ad revenue will be directly linked to viewer numbers.
Piracy will be the same issue they and ifollow already face and will hit numbers.
Pub and club broadcast licences for L1/2 will not make much money.
I'd hope they want to broadcast worldwide so I can access separate to my main sky account.

Reading the whole article, the word domestic keeps cropping up when mentioning the retention of the ban on 3pm Saturday streaming. This suggests to may it may still be possible to access live coverage of these games from abroad, or an I missing something?

The link in Sev's post at the top of this thread, right at the bottom of the Q&A, has this comment:
Audio services will remain alongside existing audio-visual arrangements for international audiences.

Surely not ? Not an expert but this would mean only UK SKy subscribers could access , what about other platforms eg Virgin Media and Freeview .I thought streaming meant you could just access on internet anywhere in world with them a possible link to your TV ?

If we're on telly - it'll work the same as it does now.
Sky will have a dedicated streaming platform akin to iFollow.

Revenue from streaming who gets it the home club and if so will it be set amount or for the loss of crowd and not sure how they can work it out .
I suspect devil will be in the detail

I'd be stunned if much changes from the current model.
The current model is:
Home team keeps 100% of all profits from home match passes (works out to about £8.34 per pass after VAT etc).
Home and away teams agree an "allocation", which the home team also keeps. Anything sold above the allocation then goes to the away team.

They agree an allocation?
That is a new addition if true as it used to be that the home team got the first 500 and then any above that goes to the away side?

That's what I thought. Can't see clubs wanting to negotiate with loads of clubs separately.
Although at our level only a small handful of clubs would expect to exceed 500 subscribers.

Would be interested to know how many subs we get for our ifollow games.
Any way of getting the data? Can we do a Borochat sweepstake?
