If Big Steve was still in charge with us Jonson Clarke Harris was definitely signing for us!! It was all agreed & he would have been on 10k a week!! Just goes to show what an experienced manager brings!

Think there is some truth in the first part, but we would certainly not being paying anyone 10K a week.

Yes let’s break our wage structure to bring in a player who for one doesn’t fit the system. And two would only be here for a year, 2 maximum. I’m glad we didn’t sign him, we just have to be smart in our recruitment this season but I think we only need 5-6 new players with the core of our squad

~£465k.
We would not be spaffing all of that on one player.

That would be peanuts if we brought someone who scored 30 goals next season to take us up into the Championship.

On that as I said still don't where lots of clubs of that level get money from unless an Russian billionaire or perhaps not bothering today their tax.The latter is def true for lots

Because Rotherham got about £9mil just for being in The Championship this season, and will get parachute payments next year.
And none of that includes any matchday or sponsorship revenues.

I hope Evans really did have a problem with Taye now and dropping him wasn’t an exercise in tough love.

Yeah fair enough but was talking in general.Loads of "big" clubs where no parachute payments involved paying probably beyond their means .
