Sounds like he might have come here if Evans had stayed, although wages may have been an issue.
Made me think, Evans had probably been identifying summer targets for us with Leon/Phil for a while before he left, so will he be going for those same targets at Rotherham?
Is that why we retained everyone, because we thought all our targets we will have to compete with Evans for?

First signing announced last summer was on 2nd June.
Rotherham is also a major squad rebuild job unlike us.

To be fair it’s Evans’ MO. He loves a transfer and he’s going to be in kid in a sweet shop mode with that kind of budget and rightly so he has a job to do. Some of our targets will most likely overlap and most probably already know they where on Evans radar to come here and have known for some time. Some of those would be expecting a call to go to Rotherham but we may have to bide our time and wait for those that need game time and won’t get it with Evans but get the arm round the shoulder if you want game time go play for Rev’s, he’s a great guy great little club etc.
Imagine we will be more slow and calculated this summer, we have a good core to work with. A lot will also depends on Pidge and Reid, as those sales will have a massive impact on our budget and what we need in terms of a squad if indeed they happen.

Probably wishful thinking that Evans will help us out in any way this summer aside from anything agreed in the compensation settlement (e.g., if there's a clause that stops him signing any of our players under contract).

Sorry badly worded not expecting help or handouts from Evans more of honesty from Evans in terms of you will get more game time there but here aka Rotherham you will be challenging, you will get more money but you will play less.. The choice is yours, although we all know what most people would choose in that situation.

That's fair. Probably more contract security at Rotherham too, especially if we go back to 1 + 1 year options given the relatively inexperienced management team.

Good points .The targets for Evens may now be slightly different due to higher budget and Revs and Leon will know our originals . But whether we can still get them ?
