Those of us of a certain age will remember the serious proposal to move Luton to Milton Keynes and the furore that it caused our noisy neighbours who were really struggling financially at Kenilworth Rd.

The Football League initially approved the relocation and renaming proposal in 83

Luton's owner Denis Mortimer believed the move could attract new fans.

But after a huge backlash from supporters the idea was binned.

Could have been a very different team we face this afternoon.

That was all over the BBC last weekend when Luton played there. (For those of you living abroad he BBC is a public service braodcasting organisation). It was never, ever going to happen. Mortimer would have been strung up first.
So instead we have MK Donkeys. Equally wrong.

I would take MK Dons over AFC Wimbledon every single day of the week, and twice on Saturday.
