That's what you call a squad overhaul

Only four players who started the play-off semi final second leg at Stockport were in the starting eleven yesterday. And two of the subs who came on were new signings. I suspect most of us who saw yesterday's match are still pinching ourselves, but on the face of it we've had a brilliant transfer window, with pace, menace and options up front.
Perhaps the key bit of business was selling Jamie Reid. He just can't play as a lone striker and ended up ceding possession every time he tried. We are so much better off without him.
Anybody know the name of the brilliant number 11 impersonating Jordan Roberts by the way?

There’s nobody actually in the 11 shirt, it’s like an AI hologram of Roberts with the shit bits removed.

In which case on an average match day there would be nothing there at all...but not this week. Maybe serious competition for places might be the kick up the arse he needs. If not we can always sell him to Reading in the next window.

6 strikers - Do we need that many

With Sanderson, McG, Mellon, Baggio, Roberts already in the squad, do we really need another striker ?

How are you going to keep all happy, as he normally only plays 2 at a time ?

Comments ??

4 is a good number to have. As there will be injuries and you don't always want them playing 90 minutes every game. Plus Sanderson is playing out wide at the moment too.

So to have Sanderson, Mellon, Magennis and now the unknown quantity of Turhan, seems like the ideal amount and a good mix of youth and experience.

Roberts, Broggio, Patterson and Campbell can compete for the wide places.

Or if Kemp got injured, for example, then one of all of those would come in. So they'll all get plenty of game time, just maybe not as many starts as some might want.

Broggio and Roberts aren't strikers, they are competing with Phoenix and Campbell - we have two players for every position, which is ideal.

Edit: As I see has been covered.

Kemp isn't either but hes been playing more as a striker than a 10 last couple of games, with Sanderson and Roberts covering the wide slots in the absence of Phoenix.

Well I’m guessing its rotation/injury cover but also are Roberts and Braggio really upfront strikers or attacking midfielders?

Can we start calling Roberts Roberto too if those two ever get paired up front, just for the USA 94 vibe?

Expecting Brown to join Norris and Woodford on loan.PS per Stortford they currently have another of our youth GKS on loan, Chaudhri, as Woodford has temporarily returned to us but should be going back to them.
