Can everybody stop getting shot.

I think we all need to take a chill pill. Not on here (moan all you like) but when engaging with the club and be a bit more understanding of the current situation.

Clearly there is a communications problem at the moment, and piling on increasing that demand/workload isn't going to help anything.

There is justified criticism to be directed to whoever the CEO is these days, or Phil as they have failed to have an adequate contingency in place, or failed to react quickly enough, for a situation the off the field team and media finds itself in.

I think this communications issue is rubbing people up the wrong way and bringing a whole lot of ill feeling and negativity about. It's having a snowballing effect but I think we just need to calm down and give them some time to sort it out before we declare the end of the world.

The Stevenage X account and entire media side of things I believe is currently being run by two fairly inexperienced people. They're not spokespeople for the club so anything they put out would have to be cleared through official channels etc.

It seems to me it's just adding to the problem by keeping asking for updates and explanations etc, increasing the workload of people who don't work 24 hours a day.

On the footballing side of things we are 3 games in, won 1, lost 1, drawn 1. Again not the end of the world. Hopefully the off field stuff won't impact the team.

It's times like these we need to club together and give our support not create rifts.

Peace and love.

X account being run by inexperienced people, that'll be Phil doing things on the cheap again and being surprised why people get pissed off with it, not that i use X

But the whole thing around "the great fan experience" when booking tickets, its an absolute shambles and a pain in the arse, it wasn't broken it didn't need fixing

In a strange kind of way it's quite refreshing that the club is performing like this. They are trying to create, as near as possible, our roots. It's all part of our 50th anniversary celebrations, taking us back in time.

Seriously though, I believe this hiccup is a combination of our clubs expectations and reality surrounding Fanbase.

Our expectations have left our club short. Also, I agree, let's give our club some slack and make the most of what we do get.

How does Phil know there is a communication problem if his customers dont tell him?

And if the comms of a multi-million pound business that relies on customer goodwill and interaction is being run by a couple of relatively inexperienced people, that's on him too, to prioritise what they say and who to.

Some of the reactions has been a bit OTT I agree but hey, it's borochat, it wont change. Im sure X and Facebook are similar.

But as Wasp says, I'm pretty sure no-one on the board reads Borochat. Which is why we have Cruffers as a conduit.

Surely the club knew that Alfie leaving would leave an inexperienced team. They knew when he was leaving and its been months now, as I believe he left at the end of last season. Factor in that his notice period, and that's along time to not get in a replacement. Maybe more penny pinching.

And I imagine Cruffers himself is getting it from all angles trying to be the middle man! I'm sure he will help convey the dissatisfaction to the right people.

But yes as I say valid criticism directed at the top, but like you say they may not have any idea as I doubt they are monitoring Twitter and Facebook. I don't know how they get feedback or grasp the feeling of the fanbase to be honest.

I suspect it's because Phil reads Borochat daily 🤣

if Cruffers is being badgered constantly that's also on the club. it is evidence that their comms are broken.

But he's probably well paid as SLO so he wont mind I'm sure ;)

Don’t worry about it. This forum is only read by about 20 people. Most of them are insane.
