Attendance very poor yesterday for us anyway. Got in the north yesterday and I couldn't believe how sparce east terrace was. The rest of the ground also. If we are playing shite that will only get worse. So what will Phil think about that?

If it looked like fewer people actually there, its probably based on a tickets sold number, which seems fairly common practice.

Would it include free tickets given to local schools, corporate sponsors etc. which weren't used?
There wont be that many tickets paid for and not used, even ST holders who are still on holiday and disnt lend it to a mate would only amount to a hundred or so at a guess?

Out of interest the attendance for our first home ieague game last season against Rotherham was 3470 including 658 away fans. So, not much in it re home fans, the difference coming with away attendance. Time to calm down, I think.

Same story every season, our first few home games in August have a low attendance.
Whilst some of us get overly excited about football being back, those dumb enough to have children have to take them away and occupy them instead. Fools.

My observation is that across the board home attendances are a bit crap but away crowds tend to be a bit bigger because of the weather, novelty of the fresh season and lack of school/university bringing in people who won't attend later in the season.

Our group wouldn't have bothered with Burton away had it not been the first game, for instance. But as it was that was seven of us who made the trip.

A lot of casual fans like myself will be reluctant to spend £26 watching Stevenage.
I paid £31 to watch Arsenal at the Emirates on Friday.

It's league one footy not non league and understand our prices are standard . Club are doing loads of offers to try to attract youngsters , we need constant fans not casuals imo..

Don’t forget it has been a record breaking season for season ticket sales and the naming rights for the stadium will have brought in a few bob to cover any losses so he will not be losing any sleep.
Imagine the meltdown on here if there is less than a thousand in attendance for the Writing game on Tuesday.

That is the oldest sales trick in the book...exaggerate sales to make people think they are missing out on something good...so they buy to be a part of it.
Shirts are another thing that has sold like hot cakes...really.
All I can say, looking from the East to the North, even if all of the seats were sold to ST holders there would only be a couple of hundred.
The only way we will attract bigger attendances is if we go on a winning streak otherwise it will be very much like yesterday.

They stagger the school holidays into 3 zones to mitigate the CenterParcs six week price gouging effect.
And then go on strike to protect a 35 hour week and 2 hour lunch break. whilst still being more productive per capita than the UK, before retiring with a better pension.

We drove it last year, door to door took us 15 hours. Flying is a lot more convienient and a fraction of the price too!
The prices are much cheaper than Stevenage. For much larger property too!
