New Additions or Departures ?
Questions remaining IMO-
No 2 GK to.sign, Woodford out on loan, on this B Stortford mentioned ?
Another right sided CB needed or we ok with Taylor as cover and LJW if injury issues ?
Striker new addition needed, perhaps with Brown and Norris out on loan , Perhaps Malcolm too ?
PS no in or outs midfield /wingers wise , hope we see Campbell soon ?

we wont sign another RCB.
Clearly need a GK if Max has gone out.
we wont sign a striker. We cant afford a 15 goal striker so no point. We'll use what we've got and backfill in January if it isn't working.

They'll just recall Max if one of Marschall or Barden gets injured.

we hadn't signed Barden when I posted. But that's what I'd expect to happen.
Otherwise we'd have kept Max and just used rhe emergency loan system to sign David Stockdale or Dave Beasant again if needed.

We're having a little break (life stuff getting in the way currently) but we'll be back at some point.
And I'll be on, yep.

Revs has said it's obvious what positions we're looking at; I'm assuming that's a striker based on our struggles last season. Going into next season without at least one other decent attacking player would be astonishingly naive IMO. particularly when two of them aren't at all proven at this level in Malcolm and Sanderson

Revball is very structured, i'd argue we need somebody that can create/score out of nothing rather than a striker.
Our strikers feed off of scraps

Have not seen any of our PSFs but in interviews he is suggesting we are playing a new system ? Whatever that means.

I want to sign a player where the introduction to him says "...known for his blistering pace" or ".. is a pacey winger"

we have 2 experienced strikers plus two less experienced gambles.
you think we can afford and attract better when we all know Reid is our starter 9 times out of 10 up top.

Imagine never taking a player on that's not proven at a certain level, i mean Barry Hayles never worked out did it, neither did Steve Morison
Jamie Vardy another example of a player not proven at a certain level, how did that turn out?
Yes plenty fail but we are not in a position to sign a "proven" goal scorer, they are a bit like rocking horse shit to be fair, the amount of changes created may be a better place to start

my worry is Leyton Orient and Peterboro can pluck a decent young striker from the lower leagues and turn them into a good cash sale, can we ??

I'm always amazed how Peterborough seem to sell a player for £5m every year 🤣. And we sell ours to league 2 clubs for 50 grand.

Yet their finances are more perilous than ours and they are one of the favourites to be relegated to L2, unlike us.

We signed Hayles when we were in the Isthmian League (I think) and both Vardy and Morison had far better scoring records than Sanderson and Malcolm have. I'm hopeful that we'll bring in at least one more attacking player, ideally someone with pace - which is what Revell has implied we're trying to do - otherwise we're going to struggle to score/create again

We tend to go for a player with a middling goalscoring record in the National League over a Gary Goals with 78 in 32 appearances in the Isthmian League these days. That approach always poses risks but probably isn’t as much of a financial hit as buying a Malcolm for example. The goal doesn’t move as you go up the leagues, get the right player with the right growth mindset and application and it could pay dividends. I realise I say that as if it’s simple, we all know it’s not.
Our problem comes from the service the strikers get without a doubt. I’d rather we look at solving the supply issue for Reidy rather than signing another striker to try and score from the same scraps we currently create.

Bloody hell I forgot Cowley, think he was after Marriott. Both seemed to have potential, Marriott would definitely have made it without injuries.

Talking of the type of player you quote Matt Rush iof Borehamwood come to mind to me right at beginning of transfer window. If we did sign another assume Malcolm would go out on loan.

I am only gping by his record plus seeing some of their games on TV last term, sure Leon would be better placed than me to decide .

I would like to see us bring in another CB (not sure in which of the 3 positions) but I think we can manage with what we've got. Assume the first choice back 3 would be Lewis/Pidge/TVC.
There will be a few more ins and outs (one being a keeper), even if it is just loans or seeing who is still available at the end of the window.
Otherwise, I think the squad is pretty well filled out
