Very good news about ST sales being higher than last season as well as shirt sales. Should ensure decent attendances even if/when we hit a fallow patch.
Not so good that we've double-doubled our losses in 2 seasons. Unsustainable.

If things don't change we will undoubtedly find it harder and harder to remain a League 1 team. Their will come a point thst we can't afford League 1 players anymore, without putting the future of the club at risk. The Premier League are causing this horrendous knock on effect with wages spiralling out of control

Expected. Anybody who saw the ST hike surely knew a similar rise was coming for matchday prices?
They are more than they should be (for football as a whole, not just for us), but they are entirely in line with the division, and many clubs will be charging more in League One.
Sadly that is how football is now, and until player salaries are got under control, and price caps are introduced on ticket prices (they desperately need to be), clubs are going to charge fans more than it should cost in order to try to stay afloat, whilst still losing millions a year.
It is shit, it will hit our attendances hard, especially if we have the season I expect us to have, but I had no expectation the club would do anything else, and begrudgingly accept them doing so to stay in line and try to compete.
If you cannot afford it or don't want to pay it, there are plenty of non-league clubs who remain affordable, are a great day out, refresh your love of what football is, and who genuinely appreciate every person who turns up. If we cost too much, go to them instead of just stopping going to games, you will enjoy yourself a lot more than sitting watching on the TV from your sofa.

I appeciate some people find it difficult to afford football already and I sympathise, but in the context of live event prices going through the roof it still represents excellent value for money.. not much more than the price of a mediocre pub lunch. I am not typical, given that a home match involves a 200-mile round trip. By the time I've also eaten said mediocre pub lunch, the price of admission is the least of my worries.
A Test match ticket on a rainy day at Lord's cost £140. Tickets to see Bon Jovi at Wembley start at over £200. Twenty-odd quid to watch Boro in League One still seems like a bargain to me.

Footing the bill instead of footing the ball.
Unless the rising costs of player wages aren't brought under control, even more clubs will struggle, and dare I say, go out of business. This is obviously terrible for the game and for the clubs/fans. The players demanding high wages, with fewer clubs around, will have less opportunities and then the wages will start to fall. Wages need to be under control asap otherwise it will be too late. Clubs with decades, even a hundred years of history will be no more.

Depends on the size of the club. There'll be a fail safe for the biggest 40-50 clubs in England as the political implications for the PL/EFL/FA/government letting a bankruptcy happen would be dire. 11th hour rescue deals might become more common though.
For smaller clubs however...

We’ve already seen that the clubs that go to the wall just get replaced. There will always be another club to step into the breach. And there will always be someone else out there who wants a football club as a plaything for a while.

Unpopular take: I love it when clubs go bust. Especially when their fans start crying. They'll all end up supporting AFC Samename anyway and have a much more enjoyable time doing so.
Not so good for the normal people who lose their jobs though, I don't like that part of it.

Agree but to some the new EFL salary turnover limit is designed to address this but bet some clubs will useful creative accounting to get round .But also remember other increasing costs eg power, business rates which greatly affect clubs. In addition we teynt our ground which assume increases and SBC refuse to entertain us buying freehold.

Just to add, it does make ST feel a much better deal.
I am saving £8 per match in the Norf by having a ST compared to paying per match. Granted this is the usual 6-7 'free' matches that it is every season, but it feels a nice saving.

But... maybe we should be careful what we wish for eh...
Longstanding fans who saw the football league as the ultimate prize and stuck with the club for years or decades to see us get there and celebrated like crazy at Kiddy might now be unwilling/unable to continue their support.
If we ever make the Championship the gulf between club/fans and affordability will naturally widen further and alienate more people (and attract others).
Not a criticism of the club or the fans. progress innit.
Agree 100% on player salary controls but it won't happen.
Non-League through rose-coloured glasses was pretty good value back in the olden days of the 90s and 00's.

I'd have thought we'd charge the max we could for away fans (match the West stand price rather than the North).
Away fans tend to be loyal and wont change their attendance decision over a quid or two.
