Home Shirt

Live on the club shop (assume dropping imminently on social media too). Nice, clean and has elements of the old badge subtly on the shirt too if my eyes aren’t mistaken. At first glance I’m a fan.

Those look like they're size small zooming in on the collar area.

As with the last Puma kits, the sleeves look quite long.

So, do we have an away kit or not?

The drama for revealing a couple of shirts is infuriating.

I like it.

I also like how the sponsor blends in with it, rather than a random off centre box.

Incredibly basic and simple but that’s what you get with Puma shirts. A bit of a cop out having a tiny part of the old badge on the shirt but sadly we’ll probably never see the old badge again as Phil hates it.

But I’ll live in hope we’ll see the old badge on a Stevenage shirt again.

Compare this to the 40 year home shirt in 2016/2017 and this one is miles worse. Too basic for a 50 year club shirt imo and minimal reference too our history.

Although i wont be too harsh on Puma this is miles better than what they produced for us 15 years ago. Best ever Stevenage Puma shirt!

it seems to be well received which is good.

I like the old badge fade on the body of the shirt, otherwise im quite underwhelmed... But then I'm old and not exactly their principle target audience.

Maybe the badge from 50 years ago is faded onto the away kit which im guessing will be blue.

Any truth in the rumour the captain will be wearing squad number 50?

And if we didn’t get it as the away number then make it the third kit, complete with retro badge. Take my money.

I like the old badge fade on the body of the shirt,

But what makes the badge of 1996-20xx any more important than the badge of 1980-1993(?) when doing things like this. We're 50 years old, not 30.

You would hope so. A shirt with the old badge on even as part of the design will fly off the shelves. Think of the money Phil! 💰

Yep.

Clean and crisp, nice detailing faded into the main body so it isn't just a boring white shirt with a bit of red edging.

And for the first time ever the Xsolla sponsorship doesn't totally ruin the shirt, and fits in with it.

I quite like it.

What's the story with the swirly pattern? Kind of looks like it has traces of the old logo (not the tick, but the newer old logo). I kind of get it, but... wasn't there a reason they got rid of the old logo? What're they clinging on to?

Are the club committing to switching to just one new shift a season now, having switched supplier? It's pretty outrageous cost (to the individual) plus waste (to the planet).

The last badge was harder to scale digitally I believe and that’s the reason it was binned off for this inferior version. But it works brown up and in detailing on this kit, it’s a nod to the 50th anniversary.

Changing all kits every season is par for the course now, even when keeping kit supplier. The away just hasn’t been released today because it’s another opportunity for engagement which I do like.

Agree with all that. If we can't have stripes then that's the best possibility.

Personally, I would have liked to have seen the concept on an away shirt.

Lucy Webster is not the female either.

It's not horrible but it won't be a memorable kit. It's basically just white. (Like how Spurs' kits look the same every year and I couldn't tell you which one was new and which one was 20 years old, but for the sponsor).

I'm not keen on the shoulders.

I'll be buying some training gear instead, or the away shirt, depending on what that looks like.
