Pretty obvious I am afraid was out of our league as a permanent signing and would always end up at a "bigger club".

Wouldn’t take him over Marschall. Solid keeper, did a good job for us but not as good as some would have us believe.

Surprised he's not gone to a Championship club. I think he's superb for League 1

Given Charlie was always likely to leave, there is clearly a plan otherwise I suspect we would have offered Sweeney a new deal. I like Luther alongside Pidge, but I don't see Pattenden as a first choice right back.

Luther is a good option in an emergency but we need a recognised CB with Taylor , J as back up.

Jasper is relatively young. So he can grow into the RB role if we shift LJW into RCB.

Bigger conundrum is how to keep Freestone happy as a LCB while Pidge is still here. especially given we have 2 LBs already so game time for Lewis will be bitty at best as Saxon and Butler pick up knocks.

Obvious solution to that issue would be a back 3, Luther Pidge & Freestone all playing.

However you slice it we are short a right sided defender or two.

For all of his time playing in the first team he was outstanding. He had a couple of games where he dipped in form due to his injury, that aside he was our hero. That said, he was absolutely outstanding in the EFL Cup match against Birmingham the season before last and I think that was post his injury?? Perhaps with a bit more first team time he may have got back to his old self. I'm sad to see him go but once again I hope he makes a success of his time at Barnet. He served us well, a true professional - he deserves his chance to shine again.

Well, when called upon post Injury, he was very unreliable, and had serious issues with making saves at his near post.

Hopefully he can regain some confidence and get back to his best

Potentially a superb signing for the Bees.

Hope he does well and gets his career back on track. But if he fails to stop many shots and Barnet get relegated that'd be cool too.

Was being linked (albeit probably by Jeff Notaclue at EFL 24/7.kz) with a League One move this summer. Bit of a statement of intent from York I’d say. Definitely a player in there with the right mindset.
