Madueke is great at attacking runs and forward momentum, just final product to work on.
Second half was much better. And some quality options off the bench. Although some of those I'd be starting.
Good to get a win under the belt.

Apart from the penalty it’s been all Croatia. Pickfords had more touches than anyone else.

But not sure that defence gives you a lot of confidence. At 3-2 it wouldn’t have surprised me if Croatia equalised again. Thankfully Rashford scored to halt Croatia’s growing momentum.

Really encouraging performance from England last night.
Going forward we looked sharp, created plenty of chances and showed real attacking intent. Scoring four goals against a decent Croatia side is no small feat, and there were some excellent individual performances throughout.
Still a few defensive issues to tidy up, but overall it's hard not to be positive after a display like that.
Plenty to build on going into the next game.

That was a very enjoyable game to watch for the most part. Got so used to Safety first England, and opening games are often cagey. Many of us expected a draw.
Defensively suspect, first game.nerves maybe, but plenty of very good attacking football against what was a decent team. Bellingham Anderson and Rice running that midfield.
Rashford starts the next game for me.otherwise no changes unless enforced.
Id keep Stones in the defence, we will need that experience when we face real pressure later in the tournament.
Win game 2 hopefully then ring the changes a bit to keep.players fresh and spread the experience for game 3

I agree it was a hard watch for long spells until we had the two goal cushion as Croatia always looked like they could score out of nothing with England’s slightly suspect defence.

It's too simplistic to blame the defence. The problem was both times we took the lead we decided to camp 10 players on our own 18-yard box. You can't do that against quality teams and expect to hold out. Kane dropping so deep doesn’t help that as the whole team tend to come back. If he’s going to do it we need to leave a winger or Bellingham up the pitch. Stop that and trying to play through Pickford (good gk, but doesn’t look massively comfortable being able to play with the ball at his feet) and things were decent overall.
Rice's corner delivery is probably one of the biggest threats in the tournament.
In other news Scotland just went behind after 1 min XD

Personally think Croatia are a good team and they scored a couple of very good goals from very few attacks. Not sure England's defence was quite as poor as consensus. I'm encouraged by what I saw
