Confirmed dates, see sponsored and assume this will help with the club costs

Don't sue me if this is wrong, but my understanding is that we are going Sun 12th to Sun 19th, playing on Tues 14th and Sat 18th, at The Pinatar Arena, the same as last season. But have also heard we may not be playing there this year and may be playing elsewhere.

If we are, having gone for the week last year (and having stayed in the same hotel as the squad) be advised that there isn't a huge deal to do around the immediate area, and it isn't very touristy (lots of places entirely closed on a Sunday, for instance), and also be aware that the stands at the ground are entirely uncovered so the match itself can be quite a sweaty and unpleasant experience.

Edit: I am not intending to put anybody off with the above, just making you aware that depending on your wants and needs you may wish to stay somewhere more further afield and travel in for the matches. Glad we went last year, enjoyed it, the hotel and staff were spot on, but those wanting lots of bars and nightlife aren't going to find it near the stadium.

Edit 2: Quite why the club doesn't just come out and announce it all straightaway to benefit the fans, seeing as they obviously already know, rather than drip feeding information, leading to there being different speculation, I don't know. I guess this is just how social media is now, with even official accounts more interested in engagements and view counts than actually giving their fanbase/customers useful information. And this is far from being a criticism aimed just at us.

In terms of social media being entirely for twazzocks now, I am aware of the rumours and will have something very interesting to say at 3pm tomorrow [eyes emoji]

Id imagine the secluded nature is exactly why so many teams use the hotel and arena pre-season.

Plus it really didn't cost PW anywhere near as much as I expected it would, and they do absolutely everything for us (provide airport transfers, accommodation, private dining and meeting area, with food and drinks put on, plus all the equipment and facilities at the ground for the training, including doing the laundry afterwards).

Combine that with the hot weather training and team bonding element and it is little surprise that half of the EFL goes there every summer.
