Pubs Tomorrow

The official site have just suggested 2 on the other side of the town centre, which might be ok if you're getting the train and chancing the 22.24 home, but anyone any suggestions for ones near the ground that have been ok for away fans on previous visits? There's about 5 on Castle Street but none are mentioned on the post

I went to the Wetherspoons. Nice booth table and a reasonable sausage and mash.

I imagine most pubs around the ground will be busy.

Thats one thats suggested for away fans, 20 minute walk from the ground. When I'm arriving an hour before ko im not walking for 40 mins of it 🙃

Stockport fans on our Facebook post have suggested the Alexandra and the Old Vic as ones near the ground, not on Castle St, that are normally friendly and good beer

The Old Vic is a lovely pub but it's tiny and people who don't like ale will struggle.

Reckon seat numbers will be enforced? I don't really feel like sitting behind a pillar for 90mins and would prefer to pick a seat when I'm there!

Didn't we have to choose wether to sit behind a pillar or not when booking?

I chose not to, so people can budge from my seat!

Nah, it'll be the usual away day - singers and youngsters standing in the middle at the back, those who want a quieter life/sitting at the sides/front

I'm not sure, I think it might have to be enforced. Otherwise there will be a lot bunching and hassle. Plus there is safe standing at the back.

If they are braving the front they may well be getting very wet! Typical Cheshire weather today.

I think a number of us will have no roof, so no need to worry about being at the front or being behind a pillar.

If when I turn up at 7:59 and find anybody in my safe standing space, I will be getting the stewards to eject them straightaway, no questions asked.
