Kind of makes you realise what we are up against. Completely different game to ours. Can't remember ever seeing a Stevenage player hug the touchline š

And us, because we get 12.5% of gate receipts from this game.
If we get to Wembley I want us to face Bradford as Bolton scare me. If we don't then I 100% want Bolton to progress.

I'm exactly the same!
Plus Bradford are shooting higher and higher up my list of clubs I dislike.

Wish we had a player on loan who could singlehandedly win a game like Bolton have in Cozier-Duberry.
Or Stockport with Barry (albeit failed to scored against us in three appearances now). Or Orient with Kelman last season.
Other than Ilias Chair I am not sure we ever have. Which is poor considering our relationship with Spurs and our proximity to London. We should be right up there with being loaned prospects.

Wasn't Luke Freeman originally.
Is Marschall not one?

No we signed Marschall from Villa. He's ours to sell.

Hopefully our improved stature and Revsā growing reputation as a manager who looks after his players well will change that.
Rankled with me last season that Spurs were happy to play their under-21 games at our ground then sent two top end League One prospects out on loan to Orient.

No young prospect is going to want to join us with our style of play.

The only point I would make, which may well be why Orford rarely played, is that regardless of where they come from we would expect them to do their fair share of the defensive side of the game, as our team is expected to all do that, and if they don't they won't be getting picked.
Now I, as a parent club, would view that as being beneficial, developing that side of the game in the player, but I suspect they don't all view it that way and would rather loan to a side who is believed to "play football the right way" over us.

As āthe next Declan Riceā Iād have imagined part of Orfordās game would have been getting stuck in. Not that we saw much of him to verify that.
The playing style will definitely put some off and weād have to make sure weāre looking at the right players character wise but I think the loan market could be where we find an attacking player or two who can help us score more. Not at the expense of our ethos, just with a few tweaks. Mainly getting us forward quicker.

I think they are allowed to play like that because they have better technical players around them. You don't really have a choice but to dig in and work for us, knowing we won't keep the ball long and possession will be turned over fast.
Our setup/ DNA whatever you want to call it is obviously geared up to structure and workrate off the ball and doesn't really allow for such things.

Looking where Orient ended up might have been lucky they didn't loan to us.

Sorry Sev, was thinking more last season when they had Donley and Keeley and got to the play-off final rather than this season where they disappointed everyone by not getting relegated.

Scored 5 goals in 18 games for them, and they missed out on the play offs. Rubbish.
They won their last game of the season 4-1 though, Kane was an unused substitute. Think I recognise that guy who did come off the bench to score 2 though? š¤

Dagenham were in League 1? And at the same time as Southampton? That seems quite dystopian. Iād never realised.

I remember Dagenham in League 1, I actually wondered if they were one of those teams who made the championship then imploded, like Yeovil. But don't think they did. Same as Rushden, just league 1?
Mad they were competing with Southampton, Bournemouth and Brighton though!

Absolutely! Those three now in the Prem of course, like Brentford. Bournemouth and Brentford were both our opponents in the league, which now seems like a dream, and Bournemouth sustaining Prem football on a tiny capacity. Funny to see Yeovil in there too. How the world can turn so quickly eh?

Match day crowd income is a drop in the ocean in comparison to the TV revenue.
The revenue from Bournemouth's small crowd probably just pays for unkeep of the stadium

Rushden's demise was mainly because they relied on Griggs funding and he left.
