How many Lincoln fans will be in the home end?
If they do win the league tomorrow (hopefully through Cardiff failing to win than by them beating us), I hope we have sufficient stewarding in place. Possible pitch invasion situation.
I wouldn't begrudge them entering the pitch providing our players can leave safely and there is a barrier between home and away.
I remember the joyous occasion at Kidderminster where there were celebrations with the players on the pitch (not me I hasten to add, I stayed in the stands). It was handled by them very well that day.
I think some of our fans however might feel a bit aggreived and react sourly but hopefully we are graceful and respect their achievement.

Reminds me of that day in Kidderminster, (along with the play off final win against Torquay) will always be the highlight of my time supporting Boro. After winning promotion that afternoon, Graham Westley had us eating out of his hand. He made sure everyone was back on the terrace before he presented every single player to us all. What a day that was.

I 100% get why people do it. Its just exuberance, perhaps exacerbated by the need for some to capture and share the moment with the lads on social media.
It's now 'the done thing' when you secure anything, promotion, play off place, 4th from bottom...
Maybe we're just old.
Actually no maybe about it.

A combination of being stressed out by this season, and no wanting to see Lincoln fans run on the pitch, i have opted to play cricket instead. See you all at Donny!

Which I have absolutely no issue with whatsoever, and fully understand why they would want to be there to experience it, provided they aren't dicks about it (which I am sure they won't be).
Plus let's be honest, we aren't selling it out so it helps us financially. There have been a good few games, and will be every season in L1, where I really do feel we should accommodate more away fans in the corner of the stand snd maximise revenue, albeit I understand and appreciate the workarounds it creates.

*but* if there's a pitch invasion we are at risk of a fine.
Mansfield for example got hit with a £10k fine for a promotion celebrating pitch invasion couple of seasons back.
Not sure if we did? Maybe it depends on how the SAG report it, whether the club are deemed to have taken all reasonable precautions?

Our ground, our responsibility. Can hardly fine Lincoln if our stewards and plans aren't up to scratch.
(Im sure our plans and stewards are up to scratch but you get my point).

Rotherham did a drill the other week, did a tannoy announcement to move to situation 38 or some other nonsense and about 40 stewards all suddenly appeared in front of us. Then 5 minutes later after they were all bored disappeared off again

Simple.codeword. pre-briefed. Stewards all move to a dedicated spot. Needs to be very quick and simple.
They have similar drills for partial and full evacuation of a stand or of the stadium in emergencies.

They dont. They can't. Would create more risk to public safety if they tried to.physically and forcinly stop them, thats why they have been known to open gates once its clear its happening, safer than fans clambering pitchside barriers en mass.
Unless its a very small number of pitch invaders obviously.
But they have to take reasonable steps (barriers, tannoy warnings, visible enhanced stewarding deterrent, police presence, visible CCTV cameras etc.)

We have got all required precautions in place just in case, but at the end of the day if they want to invade the pitch then they will.
As long as they just celebrate, and both sets of supporters don be idiots, then I have no issue with it. We should just applaud their achievements.

Re: Champions Elect

Echoes my view perfectly.
Weld some fixings into the concrete to enable a slot in barrier & gap at the South end of the main stand, rront to back. Couple of aditional and highly visinle CCTV cameras. One-off infrastructure cost.
Family tickets only on a risk assessed basis.
We'd recoup the cost in no time. Even with inevitable additional stewarding.
