It seems Sheffield Wednesday will be starting next season's League 1 campaign with a 15 point penalty.

Their unsecured creditors' are only getting 6p in the £ whereas they need to pay at least 25p to avoid the penalty.

Good news for other L1 clubs but you have to have sympathy for their fans for another very difficult campaign ahead to avoid relegation.

Shows once again how responsible ownership is so important for clubs.

As I read it only so called footy creditors are getting anything , everyone else zilch. Feel sorry for fans bot they should start at the bottom. The 15 points deduction is a help to the lesser mortal clubs but they will in affect start afresh with moneybags new owners .

I'd have sympathy for their fans if they no longer had a football club to support, which is what fans of smaller clubs which were similarly mismanaged got.

I was at Hillsborough on Easter Monday to watch Leicester take another step towards relegation. Credit to the Wednesday fans. 24,000 inside and home fans really got behind their team despite long since being down
