Ball boys/girls

The Blackpool manager, amidst throwing indirect insults at us in his post match interview, said after we scored the ball boys (and girls) went missing and the balls on the cones disappeared.

Can anyone confirm if that was the case or is he just a bad loser trying to blame everything but himself? (The pitch, not enough added time, direct style, set pieces etc)

(Also am I right in thinking it's often standard practice at a certain time before full time to call the ball boys and girls in, to protect them in case of pitch invasions etc.)

For as long as I can remember our ball boys and girls have come in before the 90th minute.

I always thought it was stupid.

Thus was one of the new EFL rules inc massive extra time etc that fizzled out . Was meant to be balls around outer pitch at all times called multi ball or something.

For my part I hope we did it deliberately, specifically to wind up the manager of Blackpool, that we get away with it, and that we'd do it again.

Edit: But yes, we remove them before the end every single game, even if we are losing.
