How’d we play? Wasn’t able to follow today, stats would suggest a fairly comfortable win

Got what we needed there. Well done Boro. Played some nice passing football, second half especially. Their keeper stopped it being 3-0.
Jasper P my MOMT.

he might get MotM from me one day if he crosses more often. So many times he should have put the ball in and instead recycled it

This has been a frustration, team wide. In the final third I want to see us play those passes that are seen as riskier (putting a cross in included) rather than the emphasis on not losing possession. We’ll lose the ball sometimes for sure but the risk versus the reward is worth it in my opinion.

Unfortunately as we once again only scored one goal I will be boycotting to support a proper footballing side like Chesterfield or Notts Co.

I really enjoyed that! We were never really under threat & played some decent football. The players were really up for it today.
Roberts was my MotM but Dan Phillips yet again was superb. He won back possession so many times & his distribution was excellent today.
Kemp didn’t stop running & Reid had a good game today. Most of the ET seemed to want White to be taken off until he scored. I actually thought he was more involved today & took the goal well but he’s still extremely frustrating at times.
Overall a really important result against a poor team but that’s what we need to be doing this late in the season. Hopefully Lincoln will be a bit laid back for our game now they’re promoted!

Fully agree with most of that, but your second paragraph was almost word for word what I’d come on here to say. I thought Roberts was superb today, with several examples of perfect, slick, one-touch passing that split Blackpool open time and again. And I’ve always been a fan of Dan P but he improves week after week and today was probably the best I’ve seen from him. An absolute engine in midfield, and as you say his dogged determination to win back every lost ball AND then distribute it perfectly was a joy to behold today.
I could hardly fault any of them, we were consistently good across the park, but if I had to be frustrated it was by Matt P again missing absolute sitters, and for the second week (third even?) he has played a superb pass across goal to Reid who has failed to connect and let the ball go straight through him. So frustrating. I also very much liked the short, defence-busting free kick to MP that he connected with well but put slightly wide. That was a nice move that should have paid off.
All else good and a well-deserved win.

Yes, that free kick was a refreshing change. The shot was quite a way wide unfortunately

Phillips (D) and Roberts MotM for me too, but that was another dominant performance and as others have said, should have been 4 or 5. We look so solid at the back - Revs and co really have done a great job in that respect, and we're looking more and more dangerous, at home at least, which will hopefully mean some of the part timers who attended today turn up for the rest of the season. A very enjoyable afternoon

Maybe but I’ve been on the ET for every home game this season!
I haven’t made it a secret that I don’t rate White - I think he’s a passenger in most games but I accept that he can make that one pass or one decent dead ball that can win a game

I do understand why you think this, but he’s very much a ‘quiet’ quality player who just keeps that central midfield working like a well-oiled machine. And today his defensive work was excellent - it seemed to me that whenever a ball came in to our box, it was White who was always back in the right position, clearing it away. And his obvious contribution to the scoreline was well-taken: our genuine forwards might well have buggered that shot up?!

They don't as they show the match on all the screens in there :)
Perfect timing today though, returning to our seats about 30 seconds before the goal was scored, right in front of us. Lovely job.

Never score from a long throw second ball...
Solid display. 'Pool never really threatened our goal.
Roberts faded second half but best player first half.
Kemp does move off the ball to create space.
Phillips should have had two.
Pass completion and possession stats above our normal level too.
Wonder where our players will go on holiday after then playoffs are wrapped off. Dubai is out for obvious reasons. Marbella?

Ex NL player. One of F2 footy freestyle. So he does keepy-uppys and press ups at the same time.
Which doubtless takes a lot of practice and is quite fun to watch for a few minutes.
And he has made a fortune with his brand.

Putting some good passages of play together so far. That last one in particular was beautiful and deserved a goal. Shame Matt Phillips put a good chance into orbit but it was a snap shot so won’t blame him too much for it.
Roberts is on it and when he is it really shows. Need to keep this up for the rest of the game and the rest of the season.

That's everyone's frustration with Roberts. This happens to little.
Matt Phillips looks like he could do with a break from back to back games, but we don't have that luxury. Would love them to take a gamble on Brown, over Lubala, if we need a goal in the last 15.

Very good first half from him. Now do it for another 45.
Positive football from Revell. Especially once we'd found our feet and seen how Blackpool set up.
4 in the box on a couple of attacks. Shackles off a bit?
