£14.8mil operating loss last season.

What a true underdog story they continue to be, somehow gaining promotion against all odds.

And yet some of our fans still believe we should be competing with clubs like them, Birmingham, Cardiff etc., and still aren't happy or attending games when we are in the playoffs (or just outside), just because we don't score many goals.

It's a real worry that we're well run, yet still posted a £1.3m loss. Something needs to change in football, this is all unsustainable

At the top level the money isnt really an issue. People richer than medium sized ountries can afford to burn it indefinitely in pursuit of vanity and glory.

But at the L2-Champonship level, there will surely must come a tipping point soon where owners have to tighten their belts or implode by the dozen.

There will always be rich exceptions like Wrexham, but the exponential curve of losses and player salary costs etc is far removed from the TV money coming in.

Look at Rovrum, still getting Championship parachute payments but revenue dropped from £19m to £10m for this period, with losses of £4.65m to finish somewhere at the bottom end. Crazy sums for a mediocre club at our level.

Makes me worry about how we will be impacted when we get promoted - and then relegated a year or two later.
