I've only been to Plymouth once. We lost to a 97th minute penalty when one of Bira Dembele's arms got pushed up by a Plymouth player, leading to contact with the ball.
Plymouth have turned things right around from earlier on in the season and now seemingly looking to get into the playoffs.
I saw this, this morning: https://staceywest.net/2026/03/16/from-bottom-to-contenders-the-belief-behind-a-plymouth-argyle-play-off-charge/
So going to be a tough game, and a long old trip!

Never beaten them at their place.
Horrible and boring ground which is a trek to travel to.
So our fans will be rewarded with a 0-0

Kept Tolaj quiet in the reverse fixture after he’d done well against us for port vale earlier in the season. Hopefully learnt enough in them two games to keep him quiet

Always Copes, but I'm sanguine. If we're going to make the playoffs we have to beat some of these teams. We can... now we'll see if we will! Nice problem to have

Just a little!
There are a few games where you think we really should have won that, and then there's a few games that you really want to win because the manager is a prick. And that one comes under both.
I will be shocked if we get anything tomorrow night.

Yes, they have two of the best forwards in the league, although I think Tolaj is injured atm possibly?

Hopefully Tolaj is out as he gave our defence the runaround for Port Vale earlier this season. Not sure anyone would expect much from this one, but who knows - I wouldn't begrudge a very defensive performance tomorrow evening...

Why we always get this game on a tuesday night is beyond me. August would be nice. I'll be down there first week of August, so 🤞 for first game next season

Our first away game there was a Tuesday in August, all the others since have been November-January. Only December and January in the league.

Especially by coach. 12pm departure. £45!
Funny that it's all ticket given we will only take about 100.

That's over £2000 takings, if the coach is almost full.
Sounds a bit steep to me but I don't know the going rate. However, if the coach is that much, surely for any Boro fan that commits to this long, long journey on a Tuesday night, maybe the Supporter's Club could subsidise it. It could possibly come out of the surplus they give to the club at the end of the season?

The SA do subsidise the coaches.
The price is based on a full coach. £2k probably does cover the Plymouth coach hire cost, but only just. Any small profit will be used to help subsidise other trips.
I'd imagine the Luton trip for example made a small surplus.
If the coach is half empty it still goes and the SA does cover the difference. How often do the SA cancel or not run a coach? It's rare.
The 'surplus' at season end is largely 50/50 money i think. (And personally i'd rather they gave it to the Ladies team than to 'the club' as an entity)

They also somehow normally to find money each season to donate to club, think this yr was about £20K.

Yes, which to a L1 club, even a small one like us, is no more than a rounding up error in the accounts.
Which is why it should go to the ladies teams, where it would genuinely make a huge difference.

Perhaps being picky the SA is run to as supporters of mens team only ? If so should benefit them.Nothing to stop the women's team starting there own SA or current one being expanded to include them , assume this would mean the annual subscription would be more.£20000 yes is not much but can still help e g salary for a academy perhaps etc.

Fair point about the SA but I see it as supporting the club as a whole. And I like the idea of the women's teams being part of the same club, evennif technically they are separate.

Each to their own opinions I suppose but I don’t have the slightest interest in women’s football and therefore am happy for the club to have it for the men’s side of things.

Don't get me wrong, from a commercial aspect it is probably good value. All I'm getting at is, it is still a lot of cash to find for our supporters. It would be a nice touch from the Supporters Association to subsidise this journey for theses very loyal fans.

Non members pay more than members plus think the SA use part of subscription for this. Agree seems "steep" but not cheap anymore sadly .PS could get worse too given the Iran thing too.

Re: Plymouth (a)

For a journey of that distance, £40 or £45 seems very fair value to me.
Also disagree the SA should directly subsidise it. As Balders says (in amongst his right-on dribblings), the SA commit to running a coach to all (league) games regardless of uptake, so if numbers are not sufficient they indirectly subsidise the travel, but if interest is there they don't, and shouldn't IMO.
And ultimately the coach is run to benefit the fans, not the SA. Any SA profits come from other means, not from the coach, they run the coach purely for the sake of those fans who otherwise would struggle to attend matches, or would have to pay a hell of a lot more if relying on public transport.
Edit: But absolutely fair fucks to all of our fans who travelled yesterday (and to any away game), that is top commitment. Having gone to Plymouth and back on a Tuesday night the first time we played them I know exactly what a slog it is!
