That’s a terrible result. Wycombe were really poor & there for the taking in my opinion. Why did he change a winning team? Piergianni was MotM on Tuesday & won everything in the air so why drop him? With no Luther either we had a lack of leadership at the back.
Taking off both Houghton & Dan Phillips meant we lost the ball winning midfielders. I really don’t understand sometimes.
Very frustrating after we got back into the game & we’re on top, only for Sweeney to do that! What the hell was he trying to do?
Marschall had a bad game as well. Way too far out for the first goal & I thought he could’ve done better on the second as well.
Yet another away defeat that I’ve travelled for!

I’d argue we did have hold of the game until a strong breeze knocked Donkey Dan on his arse.

Speaking of keepers.
Fil’s distribution today has been very funny.

Shame the FK didn't go straight in, was a delicious effort from White.
Edit: That is 10+ league goals in three of his five seasons with us now. Considering he has looked poor for large stretches of this season, that is a solid return from him, albeit helped by his good start to the season.

Now Saxon injured as well, the only player that looked like he might do something today.

They're just as passive as us. Playing us at our own game and we can't string passes together
It feels like a pre-season friendly for both sides.

Not pretty viewing so far. Sat far too deep. Letting them just knock it around their back line without any attempt to press. When we do win the ball back there’s no urgency to counter. If that’s the game we’re here to play we need to actually play it. Wasteful with the ball when we do have it.

Neil just referenced it on comms, but Reid made zero attempt to get in space when Phillips had the ball out wide there. Really, really poor

It is, just very stark seeing it on tv when a small step inside would have put him in acres of space, and with a good chance at goal.
I watched him on Tuesday and he never seems to anticipate where the ball might go from flick ons and when it's in transition (as you would expect a striker to do) so I'm not sure whether it's a lack of effort or ability - or both

MIf he isn’t taking a horrendous first touch, or getting out paced by a CB, or falling over, or diving, or misplacing a pass, or standing 4 yards offside, then he’s…. Uhh?

Just doesn’t look hungry at all. Which is even more criminal when he has the opportunity to help his national side to the World Cup and go play in it this summer. The one and only chance he’ll have to do so in his career you’d imagine.

Why has Saxon bulked himself up so much. Has absolutely no pace anymore 😂
Dreadful start away from home as per.

I think it's more the injuries that took the pace away, still a decent player, but not what he was in his first spell.

Sky shouldn't keep making matches 12:30, and clubs shouldn't be charging almost £30 for L1 football.
Fuck them.
Edit: The home stands aren't much better, they are very empty too.

With our away record and mindset it's not surprising. It's kick and hope Sunday League football a lot of the time.
