That's over £2m for the last two years.
Right, that's it, tighten out belts next season and prepare for a scrap at the bottom. Can't be sustaining such high losses.
Says we owe £1.1m to the directors, so whilst they're funding the losses, they're not writing them off just yet. Hopefully the Doherty money helps clear some of that.

How would the 'loss' of Lamex as stadium sponsor impact that? Would it affect us in one go or across a sponsorship period?

If it was a multi year deal then it would be recognised over the period even if paid up front. Eg. If we got £500,000 for a 5 year deal then they'd recognise £100,000 each year in the P&L, so if that stopped it would only be a hit of 100k compared to the previous period.

On the naming sponsorship looks like we may now not get a new one now this season.

I almost put unless we get promoted but then thought we would still be on the same position of being at the bottom and making losses so just left it as either way!
Would love to get a season in the Championship before we go bust. 🤣

Honestly IF we went up (that 'if' is doing some heavy lifting) I'd just say we make very few changes to the squad, keep salaries as low as possible, get a raft of loaners in, and accept we'll finish rock bottom and go straight back down.
The revenues and then parachute payment once we're back in League 1 would put us in a great financial position, maybe even breaking even, then we can start building properly to fit this level rather than simply punching up on meagre resources.
There we go, I've solved it all for us haha

Largely agree, but know that our players would do their best to compete

Is there a parachute payment between EFL leagues ? definitely there is between PL and Championship for at least 2 seasons hence the advantages Luton have

Good question, I'm not entirely sure. I'd assumed there was but I'm sure someone on here can settle it.

Was this loss not covered of with the new purchase by PW of the 45000 shares announced in December?

Yes I had forgotten about that being after the accounts year, so is probably the reason and converted the debt to equity.

Glad you mentioned last point and I thought the debt must be a loan account not the shares purchased unless converted as you described.

What is it, £15m turnover?
Once we are in the Championship...

They're meant to be changing the rules in the next year or so, meaning all companies regardless of size will have to publish a profit and loss statement so we may not have to wait too long.
