However you look at it, I bet any one of us would’ve bitten someone’s hand off if offered this position at this stage of the season back in August!
We were spoilt by our early season form and we started to believe this could be a special season. In reality, we are in the best position we could probably have hoped for. It still feels to me as if we are punching above our weight!
I was definitely in the ‘Revs out’ camp early season but I am delighted to have been proven wrong & here certainly deserves at least another season.
The main thing is that we are going into every game with a bit of belief & a chance of getting a result. You can’t really ask for more than that!

We are 100% punching above our weight. This squad has no right to be pushing for the play-offs in my opinion and that's testimant to Revs' ability as a manager.
We remind a lot of Bolton under Aladyce back in the day...

All I can say is PW is more astute than most of us. He would never have been so successful in business otherwise.
By the end of the season, with us being in or around the playoffs, it won't go unnoticed by other clubs with more financial clout than us. Revs 5 year contract will be worth its weight in gold if other clubs come knocking...and may, by PW's loyalty, enable us to hold on to him.

They are a football team. Of course they have a right to be pushing for the play offs.

I need to verify (cannot be arsed to fire up the laptop to access the ol' spreadsheet now), but believe that is the second-most points (and possibly wins), the second-most clean sheets, the fewest defeats, and the fewest goals conceded, we have ever had after 15 home matches in our EFL history, and the second-highest average attendance in our entire history.
I suspect you are poking a bit of fun with this thread, and I really really don't want this to become a "Revs In" after every couple of good results followed by a "Revs Out" after every couple of bad results, but as I said at the time, those who wanted him out and claimed we were in a relegation battle a short while ago really needed to give their heads a wobble.

Plus the second-highest average attendance in our entire club's history.
Remember that guy who said he is considering not renewing his ST for the first time in 20 years after this season? Mental!
After 15 home matches in an EFL season:
— BoroStats (@_BoroStats) February 18, 2026
- Our fewest EVER defeats (1).
- Our fewest EVER goals conceded (8).
- Our second-most points won (30).
- Our second-most clean sheets (8).
- Our second-fewest times failing to score (2).
- Our third-most wins (8). https://t.co/UzPTK1hBSh

The stats are great and can’t be denied.
My issue is the highs at the beginning of the season were unreal. The lows of 3 wins in 19 (before the last B2B) were utterly depressing. Because of the contrasting form and we all have short memories, it’s felt like watching a relegation team and not a promotion team. Had we gone W,L,D throughout the season we would probably be in the same situation with similar stats, but we live in the now not the past and as such it ‘feels’ like we are a poor team, even if this isn’t the reality.
Consistent poor form over a longer than expected period turns you off as the hope starts to dissipate, and this has been reflected in recent home attendance. Yet 4 point every 3 games keeps the interest going as your not sure what your going to get and the hope and desire remains.
Thats my view anyway UTB

Maybe the pants-shitting is in part because in those 13 games we scored, seven were a single goal and we haven't scored three or more in any game? Not everyone appreciates Boro Italia like I do.

It's pretty mad that we're barely over a goal a game at home but have the joint fifth highest home PPG. We've actually scored as many away (with one more game played).

Have you seen the e-mail reply from the Brighton board member after a fan said to him that the club are in crisis? It's brilliant.
Turns out Gen Z just have no patience!

I have not, but can imagine.
Sadly the world wants instant gratification now, and football is no different.
Patience, build ourselves and our squad slowly, remain solid, competitive and progressive, succeed.

I also think it’s a result of more people choosing us as their second team and applying their Premier League values (impatience in the extreme) to how we do.
