I’d take 1-0 any day of the week! If we win every game 1-0 until the end of the season, I’d be ecstatic!
I’d also take a defeat if the game is exciting & we give it everything. It’s not always about the result even though my first paragraph pretty much says that!
Bought my ticket for Wycombe tonight! Never been to their ground so that’s another one ticked off. It occurred to me, however, that I’ve only ever seen us win away once. That was against Wimbledon when Cameron Lancaster fluked a goal from the halfway line. I swear he was trying to pass to Charlie Lee!

Underestimate Port Vale at your peril.
They didn't play at the weekend so will be fresher than us.
As long as we approach it right, with the attitude than nothing less than 100% will be needed against a team fighting for their lives, then hopefully our quality can find a way to win. 1-0.
If we think we can just turn up, put in a half arsed performance and still win because they're bottom of the league then we will be in for a shock when they go one up and won't be able to raise our game to the required level. 0-1.
If it's like most our games. 0-0.

You forgot end to end chance fest slobberknocker, where each team takes it in turn to pour forward on counter attack to nick the win so desperately needed, and we get an 89th winner to make it 5-4

I certainly think there's a good argument that Vale are in fact the strongest team to have ever played at the Lamex. Any kind of result would be a miracle. 2-1 Boro

Yes agree with that - by far the best team to grace our stadium.
They will bring 1400 fans to almost fill the south stand but becauase of the cold evening the total attendance will fall just short of 7800.
Oh, and the game will be a really "entertaining" end to end ......0-0

I’m thinking 1-0, because we WILL underestimate them and only really begin to surmount their brave attempts well into the second half. The good news? It’s Matt Phillips’ opener for the club and we’ll all hail what a superb signing he’ll turn out to be.
