Big fan of Dino.
Also has a good reputation with keeping clubs up who are struggling. Done it with Burton and Oldham.
Solid first full season here where we finished 10th.
Probably unfairly sacked imo after only a few games of the 2019/2020 season. We know how that ended. đ
Also gets bonus points from me for calling Mark Sampson a snake and a spineless c**t
EDIT: I like how Barrow seem to think Dino was assistant manager under Teddy 𤣠I know Kevin Watson was shit but you donât need to erase him from history like that. https://www.barrowafc.com/news/2026/february/11/dino-arrives-/?fbclid=IwdGRjcAP56IZleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAo2NjI4NTY4Mzc5AAEe6q2gDETgiAnFJTfs1RfApPQeUNGnQmdGLTa1Lk3H1g5lRRAt0X9i63N6hXQ_aem_2WHVtnM8gxpI2lpZ2POczg

Unfairly sacked after assembling possibly the worst squad this club has ever seen. I think not.

All managers make some shit signings.
Should we have sacked Revs 6 games into this season because Lubala, Malcolm, Matheus Roberts, Ahadme and Lewis Orford havenât worked out?

It took a pandemic to save us that season. Thereâs no comparison and no telling me that Dino wasnât a major contributor to us being in the position we were in.

It took Steve Evans to save us in 2021/2022 season. Thereâs no comparison and no telling me that Revs wasnât a major contributor to us being in the position we were in.

Re: Dino Maamria

We nearly got relegated in 2021/2022 after the abysmal start from Revs between August - November 2021. If weâre going to blame Dino for 2019/2020 after he only managed 6 games we have to blame Revs who had us sitting just above the relegation zone in late October 2021. Revs also managed double the games in 2021/2022 than the mere 6 that Dino had in 2019/2020.
Made some incredible signings such as Bradley Barry, Bruno Andrade and James Daly.
What Iâm getting at is people seem to have incredibly short and rose tinted memory when it comes to Revs first spell. Will shit on Dino saying he nearly sent us down, signed shit players. But Revs did the exact same as Dino did. If youâre gonna be blaming managers for nearly sending us down at least be consistent.

But thatâs not the conversation we have been having. You for some reason think Dino was unfairly sacked. Youâve then started arguing with yourself about Revs.

Should people who believe racist language was used in the workplace stay silent then?
Not proven doesnât mean an incident never happened. It also doesnât mean it did happen. Itâs just not been able to be proven.

Re: Dino Maamria

If you can't prove it, (the burden of proof being on the prosecution/authorities), you have to assume the accused is not guilty.
Especially as the burden of proof in such civil hearings is only 'more likely than not' rather than 'beyond reasonable doubt' which is almost exclusively reserved for the criminal courts.
So the panel found that it 'probably didn't happen'.
"Not proven" is only a verdict option in Scotland, in criminal cases, and they are looking to bin it as it confuses people and serves no real purpose.

Dino (after he was sacked and replaced by Sampson IIRC) alleged Sampson made a disparaging comment about the characters of African players in a management ream meeting.
Ali U backed Dino.
Keef and Ashton backed Sampson's version IIRC.
Nothing proven ultimately but given Sampson's history with Eni at England it got some press attention

It was tricky for any manager to do anything with that squad of players. Thank f*** we've stopped signing injury prone players looking for one final crack at the Football League.
