Closer than it looked.

They are a good team but how many saves or last ditch blocks did we have to make?
They cut us apart first half hour but that Pattenden injury was a killer.
How many gilt-edged chances did we have? (Cornick and Sweeney I'm looking at you)
Two uncharacteristic errors, Pidge and Marschall, and we are out of the game.
Saying that, Bez should have been second yellowed for that deliberate handball.

At 3-1 they went home. We were so shit they didn't need to play.

You can't plan for individual errors like that. The third goal was a killer. Too many players went missing in the first half (White and Roberts-again, I'm looking at you). We were much better after the mass subs.

White looks like a player who knows he's leaving.
Houghton and Thompson should be starting after that performance.

We were only better after the subs because the game was over. Barnsley weren't going to waste energy on that fucking rabble.

Why is Marshall to blame for the 3rd goal? If he stays on his line there it's an easy finish.

Yeah I felt he was lose lose whatever he did, Pidge being too slow was the reason for that goal.

Because he charged out and was never getting near it.
Obviously.

If a keeper goes he has to get there. If he stays the forward still has loads to do.

I don't blame him at all, he was sold down the river.

This is not letting Cornick and Sweeney off the hook but at least they almost scored...but... where was Reid? Ok, he set Kemp up for the goal which can't be ignored. The rest of the match, I can only imagine he was hiding so no finger pointing at him. He is such a big disappointment after such a good start to the season.

Reidy went missing in Burslem in August after he scored them 2 goals. It’s been his doppelgänger since

Was the Barnsley player lucky not to be sent off for the high foot on Pattenden? Looked dangerous and high seeing in person. Hope Sky gave numerous replays of it

Yellow the right call for a high foot, Pattenden stooped a touch. Zero intent.
I'd have been fuming if we'd lost a player to a red for that.

But let's be honest (and I haven't seen it yet to comment), even if it did deserve a red there is no way it would have been given, because we don't get given decisions away at 'big' clubs.

That is now four consecutive away defeats, conceding ten goals in them, and five away games without victory, which is a concern.
Need to go and get a win at Northampton next week before another three home matches, where we remain very good.

Last time we lost 4 away in the league was March 2020. Same manager

Revs lost two of those, with Westley losing the other three.
But seeing as you appear to have had something against Revell since day one and take every opportunity to criticise him, yet love GW, I am not surprised you would claim they were all Revell.

Haven’t always hated Revs. And never said all them loses were with Revs in charge although he was at the helm when we went 4 away loses in March 2020 that’s a fact.

Cambridge are in automatic promotion place now. I thought we’d seen the back of those scummers for a while.

Christ. Just when you thought today’s result was bad enough, we have to learn this?! Hopefully they fail!
(… and we can see them in League 2 the following season 😳)

Strange result of the day has to be Rotherham winming 4-0 at Exeter! Not even an Exeter red card in there...

Great to see a proper non-league team leading the charge there though.
Bromley in League 1 next season would be some story.

Didn't realise that's where he was.
Would love to have that sort of free scoring in the team at the moment.
