I like the early business.
It strikes me that Taylor will be replacing Goode and Knight replacing White when both leave in the summer, so they will both have months of training with us and some match time to get used to what is expected and to get up to speed ready for the start of next season when I imagine they will be expected to see a lot more gametime.
And both have a huge upside in that we could sell for good money in future or just lose for free as with Goode and White, who were both signed in the same manner.

Agree but still think we need another striker in, down.to 3 recognised, I count Robert as more of a Winger etc .

Why on earth would we need more than three strikers when we only play one up front? That would just be a waste of money for somebody to sit on the bench, or not even make the squad!

Will comeback to you when inevitably we get yet more injuries.

Even if it does, it makes no financial sense for us to sign more strikers (who are expensive, or if not are shit/kids with no experience) when we have a tight budget and there is more chance they aren't needed than they are. We aren't ManCity or Chelsea.

Did not say we were Man C etc but cannot then see why Malcolm went then even if the excuse is he is one for the future .EDIT if Simpson was available would have agreed.with you.

Because it is far better for him to play regularly for Barrow than to sit on our bench/in our stands, just in case we happen to get two strikers injured in the next three months and he may then be needed, which is more likely to not happen than it is to happen.

Oh well we will definitely see then won't , hope Lenny Brown etc ? Of the Academy is ok before end of season unless we just hope none of the others get injured or suspended.

There are plenty of attacking players in the squad for once. While it wouldn’t be ideal there are options that could do a job up front if needed.
Definitely better for Malcolm himself and his chances here in future that he plays regularly.

Didn't we sign Goode from the PFA thingy? At 30 i think we'll struggle to get any fee for him any way, he'll just chase the better wages.
White leaving on a free is a bit of a kick in the nuts though.

I'd imagine both have been offered deals here that would put them close to the top earner.
Shame to lose them but White will be ambitious having dropped down from Spurs, and wants to play higher and go as far as he can, while Goode wants to maximise his earnings for his last year or three. Understandable.

I always think we signed him from Brentford, but he may have been released just before and therefore a free agent.
And with him I meant more he had good pedigree and top Academy experience like Knight, rather than being young and with the Academy experience so could be sold for big bucks, which is the case when we signed Harvey, and now Knight.

His value is £4.4 million on Fantasy Premier League.
Leon Hunter is playing 4D chess with these signings.
