Just seen this on @AnthonyRJoseph twitter:
UPDATE: Stevenage, Northampton Town & Rotherham United are in the race to sign Swansea City striker Bobby Wales.
Swansea are open to loan offers for the 20yo- with talks expected to accelerate in the coming days.
Huddersfield have also had a longstanding interest in Wales.

Early in the rumour season striker wise we were linked with Sidbeh and Hale but both gone elsewhere.

Hale to Gillingham was reported to be £250k and wouldn't be surprised if Sidibeh for Stockport was for similar money.
Can understand why we're looking at loans if that's what strikers are going for in the January window.

We used to stand on a mound of earth/concrete to the north of the original East Stand as none of us could afford the extra cost to sit in the stand!

I must have had good pay from my Evening News paper round as I managed to pay the extra for that small East stand. Later when Athletic were formed I was on the supporters club committee andhelped establish and run a programme shop under and at the back of that stand. I can recall the ‘terrace’ where you stood had a back and roof of damaged corrugated asbestos cement. Everyone was blissfully unaware of the danger!

The pictures of the ground from the 60s / 70s are interesting- bit different from my first visits in the 80s, particularly the floodlights!
