Euphoria abounds

Absolutely buzzing on the way home. We played so well. Sweeney was my MOMT even before he scored, closely followed by Jasper P.
We wanted it tonight. Always fighting and pushing forward. Found ourselves offside on many occasions, but at least we were up attacking.
Peterborough were shit.

Boy am I happy to be wrong.
I said 7pts to turn me around but we'd be lucky to get 4pts (2 draws and 2 defeats).
I'm not going to get too excited yet. Let's see how the next game goes.
For all my complaints about goal scoring I'm genuinely fine with a low goal output as long as we're winning games.
A draw in the next game, and a clean sheet, would keep us solid.
If we win I'd be more than happy to start asking if we've turned a corner.
Great result tonight.

I’m not even THAT bothered if we lose, as long as we play entertaining football. I’ve seen some awful games this season with the worst half being the first 45 vs Mansfield.
Yesterday was so refreshing even though we couldn’t score until late on. I want to come away feeling fulfilled!

Definitely. We managed to grab that win that was needed, and in doing so exceeded my expectations by a point by not losing any of the last 3 games! http://www.borochat.co.uk/article/572049
Who'd have thought we'd do better with some home games?
Barnsley and Northampton away next, neither looking too clever, so might get something to keep ticking over before another 3 home games in a row

And in that same thread I said we needed five points, and questioned why everybody thought we were going to keep losing these three when we had lost once in ten, and sure enough it is now once in 13.
We had had a tough run of fixtures, had played mostly away, were missing players through injury who really hampered our options (no fit strikers so had to play Reid up top alone every game and no fit LB so couldn't play three at the back with WBs), and had guys like Kemp returning from injury and getting back to fitness.
One win is only a start, and I am not going to get carried away, same as people shouldn't after a couple of defeats, but we now have easier fixtures coming, a bunch more home games, players are returning from injury to allow us to successfully play a different formation (Saxon enables three at the back), and we have Cornick getting sharp and match fit to give another option up top.

One of the best things about a proper Stevenage win like that is how it pisses off the rest of the league. Not just the side we've played against, but all the 'proper' sides come out in support of the defeated to say how we are anti-football etc. XD
You can keep your possession stats boys :P

It seems everybody else has already given accurate assessments of the game, so not much for me to add, but a couple of quick points. Peterborough were much less than I was expecting - look just how many passes went off the side of the pitch! I gave up counting. They didn’t actually offer much in the way of threat and our keeper wasn’t really tested by them, whereas our spirited and forward-thinking attacks saw their keeper having to get involved every time, albeit with a frustrating lack of end product from us.
I was interested to check the bookie odds on Livescore before the game and see us at 91/100 and Peterborough at 13/5. Even a much-predicted draw was 5/2, so I wondered what the bookies knew that we didn’t. Most of us were predicting a dull and depressing evening before kickoff, yet our shortened odds turned out to be correct.
Sweens was superb even before his goal and Phillips and Pattenden continue to repay my supreme enthusiasm for both of them. Cornick looked like there were the makings of a really useful player in there too. Very pleasing. We were superb from the off tonight, and never stopped pressing until the final whistle. We looked like the old Boro again, scrapping for every ball and relentless throughout. Look what can be achieved when you take the brakes off and push forward! A thoroughly deserved win. And we go to a hurting Barnsley next - can’t wait!
