Both he and me seem just as frustrated as each other. What are we both missing out on? Yes, goals...so what is going wrong recently, when compared with his great start to the season. It seems Revs can't solve it so can one of our bright sparks shed some light?

We’re not providing the service we were earlier on in the season. Think for whatever reason (tactical or psychological) the concept of protecting our position has crept in rather than the little bit more freedom we had at the start of the season. We’re definitely not hitting the wingers as much as we were or playing the slightly risky balls vertically through the lines.
Reid has always been an interesting one. For me, with all the good will in the world, he isn’t as good as large sections of our fans make out (fwiw I really like him as a player). His strengths when he is on are that he is quite an instinctive finisher but he’s also a confidence player. When he’s low on confidence he can play in a way that is detrimental to the overall, not passing, delaying his final ball/shot etc. None of which is helped when the opportunities to have a go aren’t presented to him.
I get the impression there’s a lot of pressure on the squad to deliver at the moment. This is a bit of a golden opportunity to have a go at promotion. If we have a good crack and don’t make it then so what, it’ll have been a great attempt. Something to build on. Fight is better than flight or freeze.
From my perspective there’s no pressure as long as everyone gives 100% every time they represent the club, I don’t think many can be accused of not doing that right now.

None of our strikers do well because none of strikers get any service or play in a system that suits them. Our game is built around being solid defensively and hard to beat. It doesn’t really matter who plays up top for us, they’re all feeding on scraps

He needs someone playing up with him imho. Adhame is injured; I'd like Revs to dip into the transfer or loan market for a target man

I also think he plays better when Roberts is playing with him. They have played together a number of years and know each other's game well.

Yeah agree, Roberts not playing hasn't been great for him either

Campbell, Roberts and Kemp haven't been fit.

I see the logic of those three key players being crocked. Surely we have others who can "feed the Reid"? What about Phionix, Phillips and Luther. When we push forward, as we did at the beginning of the second half against Plymouth, those guys were electric. They were getting balls into the penalty box for Reid. There is a deeper unseen issue going on with Mr Reid I believe, confidence maybe?

Phoenix has looked good in the past few games. Phillips is a disrupter, he isn't going to score or create many.
He's on 8 for the season having apparently played 20 games. That's not the worst return by any means.

Agree on both points. Phoenix looked positive in the first half vs Plymouth when no one else was playing particularly well. Phillips isn't a 10, but is very busy when he plays deeper

Footballers are one dimensional. They are incapable of doing anything other than what has been drilled into their brain for years.

Ready was doing great until he missed that one on one against Luton. Then the international experiences... He's seemed inside his head ever since.
