Stevenage FC Stadium??

By bcb19949/12/2025 16:34Tue Dec 9 16:34:29 2025

Having a quick look at Sky sports and for the game tonight they have our stadium down as the “Stevenage FC Stadium” I just assumed it’s lazy sky sports journalism again. However I’ve just gone onto the clubs website and they've also got the game as being played at “The Stevenage stadium”

Surely it’s either The Lamex or Broadhall Way. Or has another stadium popped up overnight in Stevenage.

Probably linked to fact Lamex no longer sponsors ground after PW retired from company..We are looking for a new sponsor for naming rights.

We posted an article on November 5th stating it would no longer be The Lamex Stadium and naming rights are up for grabs.

Sure but surely it reverts back to Broadhall Way for the time being if the Lamex sponsorship has ceased

Historically, there has been reference to Stevenage Stadium - so I'm not sure if that was maybe a council reference that quickly got dropped or whether the colloquial Broadhall Way just took over.

I definitely remember it being called Stevenage Stadium on Champ Man 2 when we were one of those non-league clubs that got generated with fake players for cup games.

I definitely remember it being called Stevenage fc stadium before it was the Lamex, in certain places, and thinking it was wrong then too

When you've run out of anger over 'festive trees' 'chocolate eggs' and 'gingerbread people' it's handy to have something else to shout in faux outrage at.

I mean probably if we’re trying to get someone to sponsor the stadium naming rights. Maybe don’t start calling it “Stevenage FC Stadium” which has never existed and has never officially been the name of the ground,

Also from a historical and sentimental side it’s been Broadhall Way since it was built in 1960. It was the name of the clubs ground from 1976-2010. It matters. History matters.

If history doesn’t matter we may as well drop the name Boro as our nickname as we aren’t called Stevenage Borough anymore. Stop all chants relating to “Borough” as well

I'm sure potential investors will be confused by something named Stevenage FC stadium. It could be referring to the other Stevenage FC

Ok, so hypothetically, we are sold to Mr Hamilton, would you be happy to be renamed Hamilton FC as long as we win matches.

Edit:- also a change from a Reindeer to a racing car as our badge.

History is important...as Revs always remarks...its our DNA.

With Hamilton Accies sadly sinking under their debt there'll be plenty of merchandise and signage going cheap soon.

We are talking about a temporary period until we get a new sponsor on Of course we could meet nostalgic and insist no sponsor and no dish whilst other clubs do.But yes I would not like any new owner to change actual.vlub name itself eg MK Dons
