Didn't realise Ryan Lowe was their manager.
Bit of a clunt towards us back when we played Accrington on a cabbage patch IIRC.
Called us a "land of the giants" team in his post match presser.
Twat.

Wasnât great. Wasnât awful. They missed a sitter and should have had a pen. On the balance of that a good point.
Weâre too slow in transition. If youâre going to play the way we wanted to today then speed in the break is crucial.
Reid meandering off when being subbed irked me. There was a game to potentially be won and he skulked off like it was Sunday afternoon in the park.

Reid was probably in the mindset that we had gone for a point and was time wasting. It's long ago we couldn't win an away game for love or money.

Never a penalty for Wigan. (I assume your referring to the one in the first half where the player went down theatrically)

I'm assuming he knew Revs wanted to slow the game down and break any momentum. As is often the case when drawing away.

Perhaps. But shouldnât be the mentality. We werenât under the cosh, there was as much chance of us getting something as them. Play to win.

I felt Bradford were there for the taking, and we settled for it. Since then we havenât played as well, and can obviously be pleased with clean sheets and draws away from home like this. But - is League 1 a bit shit this year?

Yes - there's no clear leading team this year which is why it's such a good opportunity for us. It will be interesting to see how strong Cardiff are next week - they didn't spend much in the summer and have the most resources so you would assume they'd strengthen in January, but if they're not overly impressive then there's really nothing to be scared of in the league this year.
A draw at Wigan is a good result on the face of it (imagine saying that a decade ago!) but they were there for the taking in my opinion and if we want to really progress then we should try to push for the win in those games. Still, if you said in the summer that we would be 1 point off the top in December I would have bitten your hand off

I absolutely disagree they were there for the taking. Lowe has turned things around and they were unbeaten in 6 before Saturday. It was always going to be a contest.

On paper and recent form, yes, but actually watching them they really weren't great and with a bit more attacking intent we could have got the 3 points...equally, pushing forward more might have left us open at the back and cost us the game which is why Revs is the one making the tough decisions.
Having seen all of our games, and a few others in L1 not including us, I really dont think there are any teams anywhere near the level of Birmingham last year, or even Wrexham

90th minute.
Changing our best striker for a wide midfielder.
Pragmatism from the gaffer, not Reid. Take the clean sheet away point and get back on the bus every time.
Be different if we were dominating, there was still 15 minutes of normal time and it was an attacking change.

Well. thatâs disappointing.
5 games in a row now with no goals from open play. Donât even look like scoring. 2nd in the league and I donât even enjoy watching us.
Unfortunately Reid is now in the same category as Roberts where he is detrimental to the side unless directly involved in a goal. Tweaks needed up front, be it personnel or tactics.

Three on the spin, two of them without Pidge.
The best defence in the entire EFL, and our best ever defence after 16 EFL matches.
To steal an NFL phrase, offence wins you matches, but defence wins you championships.

As good as the stats are letâs be honest thatâs a tough watch. Cracking defensively but scoring a goal from open play looks like a step too far. Iâd imagine a lot will be happy with the league position but a lot would like slightly more entertainment (Or at least some). Hey ho letâs see what the next few weeks been. đ€đ»

Can't agrue with Chuds stats but you are right; that was a touch watch. Second half we scarcely put a move together.
Yes we did defend superbly and Wigan are a decent side, but you have to show some attacking intent.

Didn't go yesterday but Revs suggested we went at them and created chances first half, but then appeared to run out of steam second half, potentially as a result of two tough away games in the week.
Fair, or not?

I wouldn't say we went at them, but the first half was fairly even. Second half we dropped deeper and deeper, so it kept coming back at us, and we created nothing. Rev's verdict fair, up to a point. But the lack of attacking intent was a tad depressing. That said, we defended superbly and worked so, so hard. The return of Saxon was a real bonus.
Wigan are a decent side and could quite easily end up in the top six. No outstanding teams in League One this year, and no easy games either. Currently the form teams are Rotherham and Wycombe, who were both in the bottom four not too long ago.
