Away game experience.

Hi everyone I have just joined after many years of reading Borochat. I went to the game last night and cannot believe I was charged £31 for the crappiest wooden seat. Are there worse stadium seating that I should be aware of? I went to Leyton Orient and Lincoln this season and thought they were not to bad.

Luton.

Essentially, like last night but then take away the seat backs, and put the rows about a foot closer to each other so it would be impossible to get your legs in anyway if you had the inclination to sit.

Then add that you had to access the stand through a terraced house and back garden, then up some metal stairs akin to a fire escape, and you're about there.

I thought last night was brilliant, tightly packed in, great roof for making noise, long live grounds like that rather than out of town meccano sets with loads of space like Colchester etc

Orient has a quaint charm that I quite like, those fold-down wooden seats that always remind me of a 1930s cricket pavilion (or similar). Couple that with the traditional steels and corrugated roof and it still feels like a ‘proper’ football ground. Peterborough feels a bit like that to me too. At least they’re not soulless, characterless modern stadiums. The cost might be high but its only about visiting the ground, it isn’t really a correlation to the comfort of the seat you get (and for me as a tall person legroom would be more important but that’s shockingly bad everywhere).

Orient, unfortunately, have replaced their wooden seating with plastic these days.

Northampton got to be one of the worst there is for the actual stand that you're in, barely enough room while standing up
