Great result. Not one for the neutrals, but really ground out that win. What a team.

Give him another five year extension I say.
Our first manager to ever record 25 wins in L1, coming from just 63 games.
Top of L1 with our most wins, our most points, our fewest conceded (by FIVE goals) and just one goal shy of our most scored at this stage in the division. And with one or two games in hand on most sides.
Lolz.

Tempo first hour was so much better. Every player put in the requisite shift.
Not that creative but as you say, professional and completely nullified Peterboro' until they threw the kitchen sink at us.
Sweeney especially will be chuffed to have 90 error free minutes, will do his confidence a lot of good.

We dominated the first half, took the lead, and then comfortably saw it out.
Job very much done, didn't need to create anything else.
Let us not forget in their home matches since the new manager came in that Peterborough beat Cardiff 1-0, Wimbledon 5-0 and Stockport 3-0. Three wins, nine scored, none conceded. And we went there and did what none of Cardiff, Wimbledon or Stockport could do. In terms of winning. In terms of scoring. In terms of keeping a clean sheet.

He fluff two clearances towards the end but we'll let him off, every players made the odd mistake throughout the game as you'd expect. Some just get highlighted more than others.
Phillips I thought was great tonight which was pleasing given his questionable previous recent appearances.
Really like Ahadme in a front two, his body positioning and ability to head and knock on/down balls is very good. Works hard too.
The tactics worked well against a side who been scoring goals for fun recently. I really liked that formation tonight. Won't work all the time but works with Butler and Wildin as they can get up and down the wings and know how to defend. Wildin gave us some aerial ability further up the pitch, like Robbo but better (in the air).
A great evening.

Don't know why people don't rate Ahadme, I think he's decent.

Same. He hit the bar instead of scoring once, with people ignoring the actual way he got that opportunity in the first which no other players manage to do was very good, and now they call him the worst striker to ever play for us.
To me he looks better technically than any of our recent strikers. Seemingly not a tremendous goalscorer but a good footballer and very good at what he's asked to do.

I’m to be ignored after 8pm on a Saturday.
Definitely better in a front 2, but still don’t rate him.

I don't rate him.
Tonight he showed some clever movement and won a lot in the air, and put it in roughly the right place for a strike partner to capitalise. Besti ive seen him.
Maybe he's better in a front 2?
Which means with us he'll likely continue to disappoint ;)

Playing as a lone striker is the toughest gig in football. Reid can't do it either...it's no coincidence that he was most prolific when playing in a two, mostly with the under-rated Hemmings. The shape in the first half tonight was so, so good.

Call me a glutton for punishment but I don't think Revs should get his P45 until we're no longer top of the league.
