Should have done more of get him back.
He is still better than every striker we’ve signed in league one.
Gassan is a shocker. No better than Oliver.

Speaking of Danny Rose, can't believe it's been 3 years since the goal against Hartlepool:

There's enough league 1 clubs closer to where he wanted to live yet he's still at Grimsby.
Probably because that's his level.

Danny Rose didn't even manage ten goals for us.

Do you disagree that we’ve signed a better striker than him since being in league one?

Rose played in a front 3 not on his own up top. Ahadme needs a strike partner. He's not going to get you many goals, but at least he can control the ball and actually has good feet and a bit of a football brain which half our team lacked tonight.

I think it's a pointless discussion as he was desperate to move back up north and we had to beg him to stay to the end of that season and stood no chance of him staying beyond it.
And whilst he may epitomise what our fans like in a player, he scored fewer than Reid, Norris and Roberts in his one season with us, and only scored one more than Piergianni, so let's not make out he would magically or singlehandedly solve any goalscoring problem we may be viewed as having.

I saw Danny Rose score two at the weekend in the Cup game against Ebbsfleet and to be honest he didn't know much about either goal.
He came back for family reasons and as you say that's that.

Beardo increased his goals from 2 to 10 when we went up. Therefore Rose would've scored 45.

Which you would have responded to with a sarcastic comment and wanted reasoning, so I may as well just do that in the first place 🤷♂️

PLUS he left to be near his family so he isn't moving back to Hertfordshire
