That was really, really bad. Like genuinely terrible.
Bez and Chem coming off, Bez in particular was a poor decision.
Don’t think they’ll be getting any time off over the next international break.

It was bad - Lincoln fully deserved that.
Surely should have been a penalty though when House pulled Piergianni over! We didn’t deserve anything but that was a terrible foul!

It's funny but in the ground I felt like we were giving a decent account of ourselves for the first hour or so because they were so well set up to counter our strengths. Maybe being within earshot of Farley makes you view things more positively.
Trying to play White and Kemp in a diamond when we can't keep the ball is certainly something I hope we don't try again.
We've been well beat by the odd goal so onwards and upwards I guess.

Negativity is one thing but that just isn't true. Didn't our equaliser at Port Vale come directly from a long throw?

I'm pretty sure being at Vale is why I've been punished with consecutive losses in my two matches afterwards, I used up all my football karma in one go.

I didn't say they never worked, I said I'd never seen one work and I must have seen a fair few!
It doesn't even cause panic in the box, it's just easily dealt with time and time again. I'd prefer him in the box tbh!

You also said "5.5 would suggest they work some of the time" and I have given you an example of when it did work. Just because you haven't seen something, doesn't mean it didn't happen.
It is often difficult to manufacture an opportunity from a throw in, so launching it into/towards the box is as good as option as playing it short. The percentage of successful set pieces in general is pretty low. And it isn't necessarily always about trying to score directly from a long throw, the winner at Port Vale was from a cross after a long throw had been cleared.
I would like to see us mix it up a bit though

Agree, it’s not a long throw.
Someone playing for the opposition can always launch it further.

Lincoln had our number. Their energy and pressing prevented us from playing our normal game, with us having no time for a touch before two of their players were in front of the ball holder. There wasn't much space on the pitch and very few options when we had the ball. Lubala had some joy first half but rarely any space for Campbell or Phoenix to run into.
Our plan B would normally be long balls, use our height and physicality etc but they were all bigger than us so that didn't work either.
Just one of those days.

But according to Hammers fans he's the new Declan Rice, trains with the senior England squad, way too good for a dank little club in Hertfordshire.
He'd have won that for us today at a canter. In his school shoes.
Or something.

Other than never making a save you wouldn't expect your keeper to make, appalling distribution every game, being SO slow to come out, and often hesitating so getting caught out of position as a result, and poor communication with his backline, I agree, he's great.

A bright spark is Lubala. He's really won me over with this and the Orient game (had to listen to the Luton game). He's so good with those 1-on-1s.
They've definitely got a game plan for nullifying our crosses and are all over Pidge on set pieces.

No Reid either, but Revs did hint at that after the international break.
Pattenden has an opportunity against a good attacking side. Let's hope he takes it.
Same with Gassan.
Saxon hasn't even made the bench. Cricked again or not needed with Sweeney and Butler there?
I also expect to see Orford come on if we are chasing the game with 15 to go, (or comfortable with 5 to go).

Reid from the bench makes sense. Could see Alex bringing him on with 15-20mins to go.
This is the first team in a while where we've got such depth that Reid and Luther out honestly doesn't bother me even with it being a tough away day.
Hope Phoenix gets a run out at some point today.
