Assume it's a rehash of the BBC story last month anyway.

Here's a story I haven't seen before though:

Guardian, BBC, TalkSport, Sky Sports News, Mail...
All primed and lubed up for a defeat this weekend after this positive coverage.

That Guardian article is a cracking read. Good to see the club - and Revs - getting props

If he really did go to Wallace in his first spell and tell him that someone else would be better placed to manage us then that speaks volumes about his character and he's been rewarded for it.

And his genuine passion and commitment to the club, and what is best for it (which shouldn't be in any doubt anyway).
Which is why I am relaxed about any speculation of him leaving, as I truly believe he wouldn't do so unless it was a genuinely great offer/opportunity, not just somebody paying a little bit more.

Hopefully Revs is succeeding in advertising what our club offers to other up-and-coming coaches; stability, a free hand in your methods, moderate expectations and a forgiving fan base in exchange for a tightly controlled budget.

I'd say we are actually a remarkably patient fanbase based on the support we give managers/players compared to other clubs, and the absolute shite we had to put up with for several years. Think Revell has referenced it before too

We as a fan base are no different to any other, except perhaps we do not have delusions of being more deserving of our league position than anyone else by dint of our history, big club status or huge fan base.
Because we have never been higher, have no real history and ain't a big club.

I also disagree, probably because the core of the fans still come from the non league days - which make the fans more loyal to the club , not just glory hunters.
There was some complaining obviously when we were bottom of league two , but I can not remember any manager or player having the fans turn on them

Hah, I was thinking "imagine the scenes if a big club had made an appointment like Sheringham", and then remembered that Luton have only gone and done it.

Wilshere has at least done his badges and done a couple of years coaching.
Not sure Teddy had.
I still expect it to end badly, but with Powell alongside him, he might make a go of it.
Robbie Savage at FGR? Not convinced either, but I've always liked his rough edges and cocky arrogance so wish him well.

Info I can find online suggests that he did his badges in order to be appointed at West Ham and he was managing adults for a year, which is as long as Wilshire has been.

Not sure about that given how many people wanted Revs out for a respectable mid table finish last year, even though most of us had started the season thinking that would be a decent outcome …

I've seen some absolute filth on the pitch under Westley, Smith, Sheringham, Sarll, Maamria, Revs and Tisdale and I've never really felt the atmosphere properly turn. People just stop going.

Funny how people were questioning what he brought to the team/our coaching staff a few months after he joined during last season, and whether he was trying to make us play like Arsenal but without the ability to do so.

That's exactly what we saw last season.
Thankfully Revs worked out that was shit and got some wingers in over the summer and we now play presumably the way Revs want to. Which is thus far effective.

From my seat behind the dugouts, my impression is that Neil has a strong influence on tactics and substitutions. He often sits in the stand and gets called down by Revs for input before changes are made.
