I assumed Sky Sports + which I get on Now TV, not red button, that’s BBC isn’t it.

It's still the red button on Sky to access it if you have Sky TV

£10 on Now TV then I think.
Or ifollow video via a VPN for a similar price, (or free if you have a dodgy firestick).

£14.99 on NOW. I look at it as being a lot less than a match ticket, although admittedly not the same as being there!
My son has a dodgy fire stick and would get me one but (arguably naively) I prefer to do things properly.

Been the last two years and not seen a single goal.
Always a good day out though and catching up with Gainsborough Boys is always a bonus.
Sky sports+ for me this year

No, same as Danny. The last two 0-0’s.
If I was present for the Ilias Chair game I’d have left at 2-0 anyway!

Me too, both 4-1 IIRC too. The first time when we lost in the FA Cup but Cloughie said other than the 4 goals we were the better team, and the second time when some loanee got a hat trick. I want to say Chair, but might be confusing him scoring a banger there with the game I went to.

You might be mixing up our 2-2 draw from two Chair bangers with our 4-1 win at Vale Park two months later where Chair scored and Sonupe got a brace.

Re: Saturday

Ive done some digging, I've actually done a 3 way mix up, Chris Holroyd was the loanee I was thinking of, he scored on his debut in a 1-0 win at Lincoln, the hat trick in a 4-1 win was 3 days later away at Hereford.
The old grey matter ain't what it used to be.

Bloody Hell, according to this site the last player to score a league hat trick for us was Revs:

Yep, the site’s Boro data is correct going back to 2008 at the moment. Quite remarkable that we had 7 hat tricks (all comps) in our first 8 years in the EFL, and none at all in the following 7 years!

I count seven braces from BGR in all comps, I wonder if anyone else has had as many in that time (I highly doubt it)?

Re: Saturday

We have had 65 braces in the FL.
Reid has 7.
List and Godden 4.
Freeman, Harrison, Guthrie and Newton 3.

Re: Saturday

That is correct.
And since that time the only first-team hattricks we have had have been against Swansea U21 in the FLT in 2018 (Kurtis Guthrie) and three in the HSC (Alex Reid and Liam Smyth in the same game at Sawbridgeworth in 2018, plus David Parkhouse at Ware in 2020).

I had to google David Parkhouse, we had about 50 players in that dreadful season.

Re: Saturday

46 that season, of which 42 of them made an appearance in the league for us (we usually have 29-32 players used in the league).
Yet that hasn't been our most, 47 different players had a league appearance in 2015/16!

Joe Leesley, was one of the more reliable performers in that side and did nothing. Plays in step 3 now with Jordan Burrow and Sam Wedgbury until the latter retired this summer.

Some ridiculous players that season.
Adam El-Abd, Patrick Reading, Noor Husin, Canice Carroll, Joel Rollinson, Paul Taylor, Ben Folami, Simeon Jackson, David Parkhouse etc.
And two youth who I now watch play very regularly (including one on Saturday, and one last night) as one is at Biggleswade Town and one at Biggleswade Utd; Jack Berman and Liam Smyth.

Was a sense of impending doom from the opening day at Salford when Jamie Fielding, who we’d supposedly stolen from under the nose of Leicester, looked like playing football was too much effort for him about 10 minutes into the season. Another from the rogues gallery.
Ironically Pidge was in the Salford side that day too.

I don't know if it was the trauma of it or the way our slow motion car crash bled into the slow motion car crash of the pandemic, but I have stronger memories of that season than any other.
I can see Nugent passing the ball out of play under no pressure at a 90 degree angle to the direction he was facing and Wezza conducting the Grimsby fans singing "sacked in the morning" at him as if it were happening in front of me.

My highlight was the 3-0 home loss to Orient, we were so abysmal that my mates and me decided to leave when we went 2 down on the hour park. By the time we’d been to the loo on the way out it was 3.

I remember that day vividly.
I was playing cricket that day, best I had felt batting all year and my partner ran me out. Trudged back to the pavilion and we were 2-0 down. Wonderful.
