Bradford and Lincoln.

I’d take 3 points…. Maybe even 2.

In some ways 2 is better than 3. It stops them both getting 3.

8 defeats from 12 against Bradford. One win in six at Lincoln.
Would take a point from 6.

We have won 8 games in 10 with just one defeat and you would actually take one point in six before those 2 games. I think id take my chances on how we do before settling for a draw and a defeat.

Absolutely. I’ve never been so confident of our prospects against these two as I am now. Why not assume we’ll do well? Beats all the gloom we’ve had over the last few years.

I'd be happy with 2 as a minimum.
Can't see us getting more than 4 but I'll be bloody excited if we come out from these two undefeated.

We’ll win both and still be considered “not that good” by everyone

Definitely with you on this one.
I'm still pinching myself every time I look at the League 1 table (and keep taking screen shots!).
At the beginning of the season my hope, firstly, was survival. In my positive mindset, perhaps an outside chance of playoffs but then reality took over with a feeling of contentment with a mid table finish.
Back to Bradford and Lincoln...win, draw or lose, our lads will play their hearts out for us...can't wish for more.

Praise be to the recruitment team!! They have done a fantastic job. Harvey white (my favourite player) is pure class and will go on to sell for big money. Lets not forget who scouted these players.

He's not a scout?
A scout wanders around watching 60 minutes of matches in an anorak, on expenses, it's an old boys club of failed coaches and lower league players.
I've got a friend who does it freelance for several clubs in Yorkshire and Lancashire.
Gets a finders fee when a player signs. Takes the odd cash incentive from agents (or occassionally parents) to push players towards clubs at National League and L2 level.
Doesn't even prepare reports, just speaks to coaches to get an idea of budget and target attributes, and then WhatsApps them a ahort paragraph about who hes 'spotted' that's worth a second look or a trial.

Have you ever read a book called The Nowhere Men by Michael Calvey? I found it a tremendous read, a fascinating look at the lives of football scouts. Recommended if you haven’t read it.

More a point that when we signed a load of guff, it was apparently Leon’s fault.
I was sat by an Aldershot scout on Tuesday. Wonder who he was looking at.

Have to take the criticism with the praise. Think the overall model of recruitment improved under Evans, thankfully we’ve carried on in a positive manner since he left.

I think the increase in squad budget has a lot to do with it too.
But, as Man United have found out you can have ££££ but still sign absolute guff with a poor scouting network.

I think Wallace just thought better than letting Steve near the accounts or the petty cash so suggested Leon did all the contract stuff

However it's happened, the improvement in recruitment since the Evans era has been *gob-smacking*! I mean, like whatever the strongest superlative you can think of! We've brought in some wonderful players before, but it's the consistency that gets me.

We need to be putting away these perennial League 2 teams if broadly the same squad is going to be challenging at the top end of the Championship.

Pyschologically, drawing both may be better than losing one, keeps that unbeaten streak ticking.
Two sides we need to match, or better, to stay at the top end.
