He's getting everything right at the moment isn't he.
Recruitment, selections, interviews, fan engagement... and the results!
I watched the subs doing their warm-up game at HT. They're even competing hard at that! The club are pulling together in a very exciting direction.
Hell, man even looks better than he did when he was playing!

Perhaps I am getting carried away but what's odds one of the usual suspect "bigger" clubs try to poach him
.EDIT Flynn just sacked by Cheltenham think he was another name mentioned when Evans went . Obviously not a bigger club but the sacking season is on full swing m

The real test will be in two weeks when we beat Luton and they sack Bloomfield.

That is true and will put more spotlights on Revs.
We all know the grass isn't always greener elsewhwere. Revs is wise enough to realise he can increase his worth by finishing the job off with us first. Then, only then will he consider other offers. Any team looking to get hold of him at the moment will most certainly be under achieving so why would he want to gamble what he has with us for maybe an impossible task.
Revs is going nowhere yet!

It is beginning to feel like he is the driver of a destiny train. Whether that's he's own train or ours, or both I think it's still too early to tell for me. But I'm certainly enjoying this season so far and for that I am thankful.

Money talks, probably every other team in this league would double or triple his wages, have to take it when its on offer

Even with a massive wage, why would he risk failure at a club that would expect instant results. Here, no pressure apart from what he puts on himself. Best to leave ( I hope he doesn't) at the end of the season. He'll then have a full pre-season to work with his new squad (and probably nick our players). He can then demand a kings ransom as a salary if he continues what he has started here.

Alternatively, we could turn at any point and he won't get any offer next summer. I think its too early now, but if we carry on for a month or two there'll be loads of clubs sack their manager between now and Christmas. Say he gets a 3 year contract on double the money, even if it does go sour in under a year he gets that paid off. Look at Mourinho, made a mint getting himself sacked.
And then Revs would still find another club after that on the basis on what he's done with us so far

Could be either scenarios or neither...lets hope neither and he stays here to finish off what he started. I don't think he'll be in a strong position if he does get sacked taking on a basket case. He'll probably have to settle for the crumbs off the table when trying to get another managerial role. If he gambles on taking a chance and is a success, which I'm sure he will be, then the sky is the limit. It will be interesting to see how it pans out.

He's close to having done enough to spend the next 15 years on the managerial carousel getting hired, fired and hired again.
(Knowing how Phil likes reappointing probably with us)

On this I for one have no idea what contract he is on but PW is shrewd so even if rolling one might Inc a biggish release clause.

I was quick to point out that in Gareth Southgate's case, being a leader of men clearly was more important than top level experience and tactical devilry given the results on the pitch were better than his predecessors. Yet it's taken me a long time to accept the same thing was happening for us.

Nobody has won more matches in charge of us in L1 - today tied him with Graham Westley.
Westley did so in 75 matches. Revs in 56!

I openly hold my hands up and say I was wrong. Didn't want him, but around 2/3 of the way through last season, he won me over and I can only say that I was totally wrong to judge him on his previous spell in charge

Luckily the Internet doesn't keep receipts eh ;)
I'm happy to admit I doubted whether he'd last. He was, and remains, a nice bloke, but he didn't inspire me.
I always thought he'd give 100% but his approach was always "we have to keep working harder".
When hard work was never in doubt.
We had no guile or tactics and were very, very low scorers with low chance creation and worse chance conversion. It was dull.
Now it isn't. He's developed his approach, his tactics and his workforce.
Funny old game

The guy learned. He admitted he wasn't ready before, but he's learned from Evans and others.
