My views on the match after sleeping on it

That was quite a win yesterday. Although High Wycombe weren't exactly the best team we will face this season, but they did hit us with some bumcheek clenching moments. especially the last 30 seconds of the match. Our ability to put defenders in the line of shots was brilliant and our 'never say die' attitude was out in force.
On a luckier day we could have put away a couple more goals, but we did what matters. It was a real team effort. I tip my hat to the players and management.

Been thinking about that late Roberts chance as he was given heaps of abuse from people stood around me. I think that was a bit harsh as Gassan didn’t make a great run to take a pass and had strayed offside and thus close down his options. Or is that being too lenient on Jordan?

Too lenient. Gassan’s run was to draw the defender away from Roberts. The defender did as well as he could in the circumstances, in his defence. The criminal part was Roberts shooting when Phoenix had appeared unmarked on the left flank. Absolutely no excuses to not pass him the ball there. Hope Revs has made that clear to him. Team first always.

The frustration in the stands was understandable. Except for the one bloke who got stuck on repeat near me shouting “Greedy c*** Roberts. You greedy c***.” For about three minutes.

Replace greedy with lazy and that could be me almost every game.

Edit: Well, uninterested rather than lazy, perhaps. Either way he does my head in every week.

Glad to hear you made it out of the ground without busting any major blood vessels.
