Yep, as well as Forster-Caskey there's Harry Anderson, Louis Appere, Saxon Earley, Beryly Lubala.
Is there something not right about our selection or training process?

Resigning Earley after his injuries was borderline criminal

Bit of an over exaggeration. If he barely plays a minute all season then fine, but it’s August.

No.
All but one of them came to us with a history of injuries, so nothing to do with our training.
And we were fully aware in the case of JFC and Anderson what we were getting, but decided it was worth the risk as if they could stay fit we were getting a quality player we wouldn't otherwise afford. Same for Kyle Edwards last season, and even Charlie Goode.
Sometimes it will work, sometimes it won't. But our club at the level we play at is going to have to take chances on certain players as we don't have the budget to avoid it.

Which doesn't make it any less frustrating of course, for our management and the player more than us, but massively for us fans as well.
Dunno the deal with JFC, but from memory Anderson was loaned out to Colchester a few months after signing for us and then we sold him to them, so that won't have cost us much, and Edwards was only signed on a very short-term so again won't have cost much. Appere was unfortunate as he was a signing I was very pleased about and is showing that again at Cambridge, but just had a bad season with us, and we have (probably rightly for all parties) gone a different way.
Goode has played a decent number of games already, so that one is paying off. And hopefully Sax and Bez will get fit and contribute to us soon. Provided our core is strong and we only have one or two players in each squad where we may have slight concerns over their ability to play regularly (but if they can, they will be a very shrewd signing), we shouldn't be in too much of a problem, and I trust Leon and Revs etc. wouldn't pay over the odds so if it doesn't work out it won't hurt the budget too much.
