Like him but a player like him will.score regularly at that level given right chances.

Sometimes feel like these threads are just someone updating us on how an old favourite is doing, as opposed to suggesting we should re-sign them.

Not for one minute suggesting we re-sign him. Just put it there as interesting how he’s doing.

I really liked Norris, he was so strong and resilient, a right handful. Given the same time and patience shown to BGR, I wonder if he could have turned out the same?

He had a much, much longer career in League football to prove that he couldn't. I really liked Luke, but his best days were already behind him when he signed for us.

After the League Two promotion season, when considering strengthening, my view was "keep Rose and Norris, get rid of List and Reid and bring in a goalscorer of we can".
We did the opposite and it's not gone too badly, especially Reid who has excelled beyond expectations. In League Two he could just about cut it, often needed a few chances to put one away and got you 10 a season.
Now on League One a few years later he is an international player, in great form and worth a lot of money!

In purely goal scoring terms it hasn’t gone well. Those two were great players in Evans’ system. Norris one of the best finishers we’ve had in a long time

The decisions the club have made over the last three years as in who to keep and who to let go have been excellent.
I can not think of one player we have let go that proved to be the wrong decision.
We have also managed to keep all our best players apart from Alex Gilby , who was a really important part of our promotion and perhaps TVC and Nathan Thompson.
The recruitment and decisions of players not required have been fantastic.
The board deserves massive credit.

BGR called up by NI .Not sure if we will need 2 others at least called up too or if Barnsley will have at least 3 so game will be off.PS if off another game where we will loose our gate wise as will be midweek game when rearranged.

I might be able to go if its moved to a Tuesday. Currently I'll be on my way to Villa Park instead, so swings and roundabouts.

Id have kept them all, and as I understand it the club wanted to keep them as well but couldn’t agree personal terms.
Norris and Rose were better than Vadaine, Hemmings, Appere, Pressley

I guess there is a decision to be made by the club...there can only be a certain number of players that can be nurtured along. Not every good prospect can be viewed in this way as we would then have far too many players on the books. So, it appeats that in this instance the club has been spot on with BGR.

Did a good job for us but if we had got him earlier in his career perhaps so.
