Poor by the club. Even if we just whack out the youth team, give them some experience playing proper men’s football.
People shit on the HSC but it’s been going since 1886 and now the 2nd highest ranked club in Hertfordshire can’t even be bothered to field a team.
PW bangs on about giving youth a chance and pushing the academy but has now removed us from a competition which in last few years has seen us play predominately youth players.
But it’s not all bad at least we’ve got the Papa John’s Vertu Checkatrade Bristol Street motors trophy playing some premier league U21 side to help push the B team agenda.

So you’d be happy with premier league B teams in L1 if the price is right?
From a business standpoint yes the EFL trophy is good however it completely destroyed a lower league competition with the introduction of b teams.
This is the way the FA and premier league think. Everyone can be bought. And soon enough we’ll be playing Fulham U21 in the EFL.

Shocking that we only won it once.
A team called "Leavesden Mental Hospital" has won it 5 times. It's a proper competition.
