Gutted to see him shun his hometown and play up front for Rotherham yesterday.

He was poor.
24 minutes into the first home match of the season for a ref to get me up out of my seat shouting at him, for not booking their player for the blatant dive. Well done, Sir.

It was the same ref that sent off TVC at the home game last season apparently.
Agreed, he was very poor, for both teams.

Well, at this rate of return he’s on for 69 goals this season, so yes.

Started like he is, I was worried for today as I'd put him in my 7's this morning 😎

So basically other than Reid we now have no, what some might class as, traditional forwards available, just saying

I personally think we missed a big target man at Blackpool to come on and hold the ball up late on.
Rev's is sticking with the keeper then. Hopefully it doesn't cost us today. Looks like he did alright at Crewe last year, but that was in League Two.

Still looked very suspect with the ball at his feet, and was very slow coming out in the first half that nearly cost us, but claimed high balls better today.
Hard to judge much as so much of the play was in their half he had very little to be doing.

I'd imagine Taye is busy buying Revell a dog so he can run it over later.
Otherwise no surprises there.

I see from Drackers little preview that the moving adverts are in place in front of the West stand. We’re getting with it!

Very happy with that game. Some truly beautiful passages of football and everyone looked to be well into the Boro groove - Chem, Phoenix, Jordan, DB, Goode - all putting in some great work today and energy levels good throughout. Is it my imagination or are we looking to attack far more now? Noticeably less of the left-right-back-left-back passing routines. So many good chances as a result - hitting the post, Reidy heading wide, the Kemp/Phillips attack towards the end of the game… all so invigorating to see. A great start.

Yes, it's so refreshing not seeing everything played left to right and trying to go through the centre of teams. Pretty much all our chances came from playing down the wings, getting to the byline and cutting back/crossing. Goal came from a lovely cross.
It is what many of us were calling out for last season with that boring football we were playing. Good to see Revs recognised last season's approach was pretty rubbish in creating goals.

Revs has better options, was always going to be the way.
Massively encouraged by a great team performance, played them off the park

Good to see Dan Philips back in the squad and getting a short run-out, (and getting himself booked within 3 minutes but we-ll let that slide).
How was Marschall? Didn't appear to have to do much from what ive read, but good communication and distribution?

Nothing to do, so hard to say. Slow to clear once in the first half, whih was semi-charged down and could have been costly on a different day.

Back pass from Goode was under hit. I think his general distribution is quicker than Taye and his kicks from hands seemed to find his target as often then not.
But then Taye's laid back approach to playing out with his feet was always a worry for me.
